It's not. The 3DS is somewhere between the n64 and gamecube, but you may notice the games look better on the 3DS than either of those consoles. The only areas this is great for is the amiibo dependent games, like amiibo festival, mario party 10, and so on. Kinda sucked tbh.
TPHD was leaked really badly and what they showed just looked like HD textures and nothing more. Needs more shaders or something that gives you the same wow WWHD did when you see it for the first time. They hyped up Mario Maker, and then announced a freaking website for finding levels. It's cool, but it's something that should have been inside the game, and something that should have been at launch. Also, why not announce slopes? Or an actual feature? A direct is when you do it. The website should have been some small side video posted to YouTube, not the only thing about it in the direct. Some other stuff, nothing bad or good tbh. I mean, the direct felt like something you would do if you were on a regular schedule, not if you hadn't done one in months. Smash Char was ehhh. If you care about the series/played the games it's from, you would care, but for me, it was a let down. I was looking forward to something else. Dunno what, maybe another Nintendo IP char or something, but when they revealed it, I had no hype for it. Maybe because the whole thing was a let down. I kinda feel the same way I did at e3, maybe even less hyped for anything soon. On a side note, WHY IS NA GETTING PAPER JAM IN 2016? Europe AND Japan get it in December. If they already translated it mostly to English, then why does it take a whole extra month to localize it? Makes no sense, and only adds to the dry end to 2015. So apparently this is actually a piece of hardware that is managed with an android phone. There's a usb dongle being made that can manage it from a pc i'd imagine, so if you do want it, wait for that. Actually, some sort of dedicated hacking modeling tool could be pretty good. Smash doesn't work on o3DS, and OOT is secondary, so your kinda out of luck. I'm super rough with mine, but it still works, and I've had my Wii U for around 2 years. It is breaking though.
