Hey everyone! I am MalStar1000. If you've been to the RVLution forums you probably know me because I'm... pretty active there. I doubt I'll be doing a lot of SM64 DS hacking because I don't have the ability to hack my DS, but I might someday get into SMG hacking... who knows. Anyways, though, hi :D

Yay, my first topic!

I am trying to extract the Plus Clock from SMG and import it into NSMBW, but the two games use different filesystems. Is there a way for me to convert the Plus Clock's BDL file into a BRRES with textures and everything?

Thanks, I got the Plus Clock imported to BrawlBox in blue, green, and golden variations, but I am still having trouble with the shading (it's staying shadeless)

I can shade it with Blender but can't export the shaders/lighting to BB

I can't import the model to BB, whenever I do it gets all messed up :\

Hay broz,

There's an awesome (and sadly underrated) game called YOU DON'T KNOW JACK (you can find it on Facebook.) There was also a Wii version of this game released a few years ago, which I have really been enjoying, so I thought I would try to hack it. I have only accomplished editing /jacktool/episodes/Episodes.jel, which holds the 'episode' names (the episodes are groups of questions). I changed the first episode, named "Supreme Court Children's Vitamins" to say "wow much hack" instead.
That's all fine and dandy, but the vast majority of the stuff I don't yet know how to edit. Here’s what is most intriguing to me:

1) On the game disc at /zip, there are a TON of zip files. Using Wiims ISO Tools, I was able to extract the game and used Riivolution + Programmers' Notepad to edit the first episode's first question and make a custom Jack Attack.

2) On the game disc at /videos, there are many USM-formatted videos that have obvious meanings:
-BumperBG_COOKIE.usm – “Fortune Cookie” BG
-BumperBG_DUMMY1.usm – “Who’s The Dummy?” BG
-BumperBG_NOCTURNAL1.usm – That dream one that I can’t remember the name of
-BumperBG_ORDER.usm – “It’s a Put The Choices Into Order Then Buzz In To See If You Are Right Question” BG
-BumperBG_TRASH.usm – “Funky Trash” Intro
-Bumper_COOKIE.usm – “Fortune Cookie” intro
-Bumper_NOCTURNAL1-9.usm – The dream sequence video things
-Bumper_ORDER.usm - “It’s a Put The Choices Into Order Then Buzz In To See If You Are Right Question” Intro
-Bumper_TRASH.usm – “Funky Trash” Intro
-DisOrDatBG.usm – the DisOrDat’s BG, obviously
-EndExplosion.usm – IDK, maybe either the “YOU DON’T KNOW JACK!!” that appears after the final score, or the Jack Attack BG
-FireLoop.usm – The fire that is on the bottom of the credits
-JackHeadIntro.usm – The intro to each episode (given that you don’t press A to skip)
-JAIntro.usm – The Jack Attack Intro
-JARound.usm – The pre-intro anim
-JAVortex.usm – the BG of the Jack Attack
-Logos.usm – the logos that show up during startup of the game
-MagicHen.usm – Maybe the “Wrong Answer of the Game” chicken?
-MenuBG.usm – Probably a menu background
-OpeningBG.usm – Likely the background for before the game begins
-QX_Y.usm – Maybe the animations for each question number?
-RoundBreak.usm – The intermission bg
-RoundLook_center.usm – The intermission bg with the head looking to the center
-RoundLook_left.usm – The intermission bg with the head looking to the left
-RoundLook_right.usm – The intermission bg with the head looking to the right
-RoundOne.usm – The Round 1 thing
-ScrewBG.usm – The BG that shows up when you ‘screw’ a player
-WAGbackground.usm – The 'Wrong Answer Of The Game' Chicken
-YDKJFlicker.usm – The background with the YDKJ logo

Whew! That’s a lot of video! So I have access to these videos (I can watch them), but unfortunately I don't know how to encode them for custom videos. Does anyone know how to do this?

Finally, in /jacktool/questions, there are a ton of FSB files. I downloaded the FSBExtractor, which claims that there is 1 WAV file in each FSB file. However, the WAVs that are in the FSBs seem to be corrupt, or at any rate can’t be read by either WMP or Audacity. Is there anyone here who is experienced enough in hex editing to know how to decode and encode the voice files in these?

I hope others can help with this,

~MS
