Where can I get the latest version of the editor?
The Super Mario 64 DS Downloads tabs just takes me to a page that only has downloads for Whitehole and Wiiexplorer.

Alright, I'm trying to make a hack and I wanted the only character for at least the start of the game to be Mario because my Wing Cap stage (Which is very early in game and is virtually impossible to miss) takes advantage of Mario's balloon ability to get all of the red coins and I want the player to be able to do it on their first go in the level without having to exit and come back as Mario. So is this possible?

Other question, in multiplayer boxes drop the feather for all characters. Can I incorporate this into my hack by fiddling with the parameters of either the red boxes or yellow boxes? I know you can make the red box only drop flowers.

It would be easier to place a Mario hat for the player to pick up. The original does this with Koopa the Quick - Yoshi can use Mario's hat before he's unlocked.

*Facepalm* Should have thought of that earlier! xD

you can just copy the parameters from the multiplayer levels from a box you know contains a feather.

The only level with the feather to my knowledge is the multiplayer version of Sunshine Isles which I can't see in the editor.

I've seen a few custom levels here and the minimaps have looked really good and professional! I was just wondering, what's everyone's secret to doing this? Figuring out where everything is, getting the size of platforms, stretches of land and so on just seems really complicated to me and I've been really putting it off. (Along with music, but that's another story.)

Is there an easier way to go about this? Thanks!

i already had that idea of a 3d mario named Super Mario DS Land(my name, don't use it!!)

No offense buddy, but you don't exactly own that name. Anyone can use it.

On topic though, this looks amazing! This has actually inspired me to try to make my own maps from scratch instead of just importing maps form other games. Seriously, keep up the amazing work man!

Alright, this is going to be sorta long. After having trouble with a previous project I decided to put in on hold where it's stayed for awhile. Not being able to get things to work the way I wanted I decided to change the project. (Original was a port of all of the Banjo Kazooie Maps to SM64DS, FYI)
I liked how Mumbo's Mountain had turned out so I decided to change the project to a hack where every stage is something from a different game I like. Now, here's where I need help:

How can I Rip N64 maps? Particularly, I want to use one of the arenas from Pokemon Stadium 2 as a stage to fight Bowser in.
Also wouldn't mind ripping a few stages from Bomberman 64.

How can I rip DS maps? Again, particularly, I would like to rip my town from Animal Crossing and use it as a stage. Also wouldn't mind ripping a Mario Kart DS track and using that either.

Any help from anyone would be great, thanks for reading this guys!

Getting an error while trying to import anything, which is strange because it's happening with a map I've previously imported with success on an earlier version. It's something like:
"Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
Parameter name: index"
Then there's a long file name.

Thanks. I'd come across that error myself, an updated version of the editor will be posted soon with that error fixed.

Thank you very much, I look forward to it!

Also, does anyone have a Mario64 DS texture pack?

Easy thing you can do is dump the level the texture you want is in and grab it's exported texture.

I've been meaning to write this for awhile but really, great job on this Skawo! I'd been following this since it started and it's great to see a full finished SM64DS hack. With the Star Road DS port and Fiachra's Sunshine DS coming sometime soon to boost the available SM64DS hacks it'll be great to see more people get some inspiration to start their own projects!

Again, great work!

Can you send me a model that causes this error? I don't have one that does.

Sorry for the late reply, here you are!

OBJ is in the folder with the textures.

Thanks for the fix, Fiachra! Got a bit of another problem, I seem to have trouble importing smaller models to replace enemies.
For example, trying to import this
http://www.models-resource.com/nintendo_64/pokemonsnap/model/4943/
Over anything freezes the program before it's even imported. No error messages or anything this time, it just never loads and freezes.

Is there a way to import things over Goombas? Every time I import anything over them the game will freeze in any level that has them. Imports are working fine on every other enemy I've tried too.

Also, occasionally with some models I'm told the textures will occupy more than 48k of VRAM. Is there way I can make them take up less so they work?

I reduced the resolution of said model and now it works just fine, thanks!

Sorry for my stupid questions... ^^:

Where abouts in the editor do I go to find the place to replace the models of Mario and the gang? Is it just in the options to Import other model when the 3D model tab is selected? Do I need to make the model I planned to import Mario into a DAE and do the same stuff as in that video with Blender?

Alright, using this model.
http://www.models-resource.com/gamecube/ssbm/model/5377/
I took it into Blender, exported it as a DAE, halved the resoloution of all the textures so they'd be able to be imported and went in and replaced all of the lines with Node in it that the model for Mario had and got this error.

I don't want to seem rude in asking, but has this made any progress in the last two months? It sorta felt like there used to be more updates beforehand, it was pretty exciting checking in every while and now and seeing you'd made more progress.

About how far would you say you are done? Again, sorry if this comes off as rude.
