I'll download YouTube to my expendable 3DS now, while it's still up, but I'm hoping that I didn't download Ironfall for nothing- I'm living on 12GB a month here! And I have to share it with my family. |

Being new to the world of 3DS homebrew/hacking, I'm gonna need some noob tutorials without the jargon- but I would be very interested in playing around with NSMB2. I'm almost done with NSMB anyway, might as well start moving on. |

Just getting started, but some of the homebrew apps don't work properly for me. GameYob, CitrAGB, and 3DSGBA all hang the console when I select them.
Do I need to have some ROMs already on the SD card for those emulators to work? BlargSNES works great though, and it runs so smoothly. A colossal step-up from SnemulDS. 3DSCraft has a fair chance of spawning me in side a wall or something, and I get stuck in a big empty void. |

Alright, I think I've accumulated a decent understanding of CIA's and CFW's and all that jazz. Now I've got to find a CFW that's compatible with Ironhax and the latest 3DS firmware.
Would it be wise to convert a NSMB2 ROM to CIA for modding purposes? |

Posted by GreenThunder1337 I found that there's a 50/50 chance when you load the game you spawn in a wall and get stuck and can't do anything. Is that what your problem is? If so, just keep restarting it and eventually it will work. But it's not like 3DSCraft is anywhere near playable yet. |

Posted by GreenThunder1337 Yeah, you're spawning inside the ground. I just keep rebooting and eventually it works. But trust me when I say that you're, really, not missing anything. |

Overrated:
1. Super Smash Bros. Melee - take off the nostalgia goggles and you'll realize how much of a broken mess this whole game is. Characters are broken, physics are broken, AI is broken, and the speed of the game is a deal breaker. There's also the fact that the main reason why competitive players like the game is due to a glitch that Sakurai didn't care to remove. 2. New Super Mario Bros. (series) - All previous 2D Mario games evolved the game play further each time. New Super Mario Bros. regressed that by not ever adding anything new to the formula, and just re-using assets from from 20-something years ago. What's worse- this rehash of a series are all Nintendo best-sellers and the formula went on to become some kind of standard or base for all Mario platformers now- including the 3D Mario games, which are really the only surviving 3D platformers left. If all I'm getting is run-n-jump, where am I gonna get my collect-a-thon fix now? I can't think of a third thing to rant about. Underrated: 1. ZombiU - I almost crapped my pants in the nursery level. What wonderful execution of suspense in a level that's almost completely empty. 2. Conker's Bad Fur Day - Rare's best N64 game, period. How many times were they going to make an actual sequel, and how many times did that never happen? It's Super Mario 64 all over again... |

Posted by Somebody Else Serious question- when you were playing this game, where there only two people on your team? Because a few weeks ago I had a match, same arena, same color ink, me and one other guy against a team of four high level players. Results were pretty much identical. |

So far, I've noticed it only seems to be affecting Super Mario World ROM hacks, since nobody cares about hacking Mario 1 and 3, and NSMBU doesn't have a released level editor yet, so people will have no choice but to buy Super Mario Maker for custom SMB/SMB3/SMW/NSMBU stuffs.
I imagine that in the meantime, SMB2/SM64/SMS/NSMBDS/SMG/NSMBW/SMG2/SM3DL/NSMB2 hacks will slip by until Nintendo makes Super Mario Maker DLC or "New Super Mario Maker". |

That's how xdelta is supposed to be. It should still work if you click on Output file. |

Console or bust. 3DS couldn't handle SMG's level of awesomeness.
While I am very interested in the idea of the Galaxy games becoming a trilogy I'm much more concerned for the future of the 3D collect-a-thon Mario's as a whole. I want something new first. |

The thread at NSMBHD was immediately closed. How do you think this one's going to go down?
And I just broke the thread. |

Consider the following:
NES: 1985 SNES: 1990 N64: 1996 GCN: 2001 Wii: 2006 Wii U: 2012 Roughly on average, Nintendo consoles get five years in the sun before the next one comes along. Now look at this: GB: 1989, Hardware Upgrade in 1996 w/GB Pocket, Revision in 1998 w/GB Light GBC: 1998, no Hardware Upgrade, no Revision GBA: 2001, Hardware Upgrade in 2003 w/GBASP, Revision in 2005 w/GB Micro DS: 2004, Revision in 2006 w/DS Lite, Hardware Upgrade in 2008/2009 w/DSi, Revision in 2009 w/DSi XL 3DS: 2011, Revision in 2012 w/3DS XL, Revision in 2013 w/2DS, Hardware upgrade in 2014/2015 w/n3DS There isn't a consistent pattern with handheld lifespans, but there is a correlation with Hardware Upgrades (not Revisions, mind) and the imminent release of a successor handheld. GB Pocket, successor two years later. GBA SP, successor one year later. DSi, successor released two years later. With the release of the New 3DS, it's likely that the announcement of a new handheld won't be too far off. I'm guessing we'll see it at E3 next year. So if a new handheld seems likely to be coming soon, and the predetermined date of the next home console is infact 2017/2018. And this rumor seems to support that. Not gonna believe it until it's true, but I would really love that rumor to be true. |
