Yep, seems a lot of Super Mario Maker's tools are engineered to produce bullshit levels that require more luck than skill to pull off.
I'm gonna be part of that small percentage to actually design levels that aren't unbalanced and stupid. |

I'd like to point out that this is the kind of stuff that's giving Super Mario Maker a lot of attention and praise, and so we can expect to see a vast majority of this nightmarish stuff from the game's online services.
And if you don't think that this is the kind of stuff that's going to clog the servers, play any game with a level editor that has an online sharing function. They're all like this. |

Posted by gridatttack I think that may be the case, not referring to 9/11 obviously, but to keep the release date as close as possible to the release date of the original Super Mario Bros., which debuted on the 13th of September, 1985 in Japan. They totally delayed the game from early to late 2015 just to release it closer to the actual 30th Anniversary. |

Posted by Somebody Else Are you kidding? MvDK's online community is terrible. The so called 'good' levels were always crap, presumably made by twelve year olds who haven't the foggiest about level design, and the none of the decent ones ever got any attention. I'm using the MvDK community as a base for my expectations of Super Mario Maker's online community. |

Yes, but Fiachra just said that there's no point to change some textures to goopy if goop isn't going to be in the hack. |

Posted by that guy over there I say, you're the one who's not listening. If goop isn't going to be in it, what's the point in pretending it is? |

I main Mario. Not because I'm a blatantly obvious Mario fan, but because he's the guy I've stuck with since Smash 64 -after a lot of experimentation with Pikachu, Kirby, Yoshi and Link- so I'm really good with him at this point.
The only thing I don't like about Mario is that his specials aren't great. Fireball, Mario's only ranged attack is slow, easy to dodge and doesn't deal very much damage. Cape only works effectively with perfect timing (and if you spam it while anticipating an attack your opponent's gonna know what's up). F.L.U.D.D. is almost completely useless, only effective for edge guarding but you have to charge it a lot to get it anywhere. The Super Jump Punch is Mario's best special, great for recovery, but not ideal to use because it leaves you vulnerable for a long time. |

Posted by Tahcryon It's essentially a smaller version of the Wii U game with its own set of stages, but the important thing is that being a handheld game you can play it anywhere and you don't have to sit by the TV. Smash Run is clearly much better than the Wii U's Smash Tour, and that makes up for the lack of game modes. By the way, despite that, the content of this game is still very impressive considering it's a handheld game. Game play is nearly identical to Smash Wii U, the physics and controls are perfectly synchronized. I actually play the 3DS version more often than the Wii U version. I would recommend. Just don't play with the 3D on. It's distracting. |

I think it's to:
a. Refresh games that players know all too well. b. Introduce classic games to a new generation. c. Give less invested people the satisfaction of playing through abridged video games. d. Advertise VC. That amiibo app is to: a. Charge people money for an amiibo just to play a demo from a random NES/SNES game that they don't even get to choose. (psst, you can get three full VC games of your own choosing for more or less the same price as a single amiibo!) b. Give people a reason to buy another amiibo because they can only hold one game's save at a time. c. Test how stupid consumers are. |

Posted by TheKoopaKingdom The hate isn't about the amiibo themselves, but the Amiibo Tap app which is clearly not even worth downloading. Also, if I wanted to hold save data for more than one game I'd need to go out and buy another amiibo because they can only hold data for one game at a time. The only exception is for games that only read data and not write data. |

From watching the trailer I'm thinking that FnaF4 is really just the main character suffering from some sort of PTSD after going through FnaF3- with the exception of Springtrap, who is the only real haunted animatronic left after FnaF3's good ending. |

The plot line was neatly concluded with FnaF3. From what I've gathered about FnaF4 over the last day is,

I downloaded to my main 3DS, but I don't want to take any chances with it.
I was going to DL it to my backup 3DS with nothing on it instead, but after updating the system, being told I need an NNID to download Ironfall, and then told I need to make at least one Mii to make an NNID, I got a case of the "can't be fucked"s. |

FnaF4 is a definitive end. Scott thought FnaF3 was enough for everyone to piece together the evidence, but the fandom is very dim (and mostly 12 year olds)- so he made one that he specified from the jump was the last one to get it through peoples heads. It didn't introduce any new lore to the series, it just provided some backstory.
The movie might shine a light on some things that the fandom is still stupid enough to disagree on, but I highly doubt FnaF5 is even in the cards. |

It's not like there's anything to be immediately excited about with Ironhax, anyway. I mean, what've we got besides a couple in-development emulators and an incomplete Minecraft port? Region unlock and custom themes?
It can wait. I'm just gonna hope someone can make something like Riivolution on the 3DS for on-the-fly patching custom content to legit games. |
