Nice! :o

Would it be possible to import some backgrounds from the first game with this?

Would be interesting to have a combination of backgrounds from both games, sort of super monkey ball deluxe.

Hacks like AM2R were hyped and uber publicized, which may have led to its downfall.

AM2R wasn't a hack, it is a program made for Windows. Same with pokemon Uranium.

I think Nintendo hasn't shut down any ROM hacks, and I doubt they will. Even big ones like NSMB3 which had a huge drama and spotlight on big pages wasn't C&D or taken down.

What's the problem with Crapo jobs?

Just look at them as a way to fund you until you find a Job in the area you specialize.

Besides, whatever job it may be, you will get experience in a work environment.

Thanks for adding the minimap, really helpful.

I wonder, would it be worthy to add a description to objects in tileset 0? Thinking of NSMBDS where some objects had a particular behavior. Dunno if the case is here too.

EDIT:

I just remember this, would it be possible to have a button somewhere that shows a grid box that has the same size as the 3DS screen? Would be useful to measure stuff.

I wonder, what are these placeholder levels in the file tree view?

Can they be used for other purposes? Or they can't be accessed?

How does the game levels work?

I was under the impression it works in a strange way like SMB1 works, with premade object structures, and not object tiles on a grid.

I guess it depends on ones tastes.

I am looking forward to some games announced there, especially the RPGs :P

Mario Maker 3DS looks lame, like, it seems you can't search for online courses (not even with the code?) and you only get 'recommended' courses.

Supposedly it's because they want to give emphasis to 'local share', and they mentioned some wii u courses can't be played on this version (probably due to limitations)

Still, no excuse to not being able to find by code (probably because ninty can't be assed to make a filter of courses that can;t be played on 3DS)

I hope Sports Superstars has a good character selection. Recently, the playable characters in the tennis and golf games have been meh.

Looks pretty neat tho.

Why are some images small? Lack of source?

In any case, 2 things:
1. Spoilers don't work here to hide content like at other forum software.
2. Any chance to recolor the text to red for levels that have secret exits? Would be more useful.

Thanks regardless, should prove helpful (for me at least, because it's been ages since I played this game :v)

I see.

Well, just another thing. Try to use something other than MS paint for more features. I personally use Paint.NET and it works fine for my usage, but other people recommends GIMP too.

You could try resizing the images to a suitable reading level via those programs.

And it's likely. I'm on other boards related to rom hacking, so maybe you've seen my username there :>

I honestly don't see the point in gateway anymore with things like A9LH and emuNAND.

You have to set the date back to 1/1/200 at 12AM to skip the update nag for a little while IIRC.

For some reason, the browser uses the date when nagging for the update.

Thank you for your suggestion. It would be nice if there was hard levels.
SMB2 levels are too hard.

SMB2J levels are easy in the NSMB engine, due to the triple jump and walljump.

Even the castles aren't really that hard.

I'm down for it. Could be fun.
(and vanquish Tahcryon in one hit :> )

I can do the item balancing on if you want (been doing that for the most part already though :v)

How about some random monsters encounter system which scales to your current level?
Like, one could try 'searching' for a battle against random generic monsters to gain some exp, and you can only search like, 5 times a day, and 'searching' doesn't always guarantees a random encounter, like find a random item (though this would be sort of useless because there's no inventory, but dunno)
