I think this depends on the manufacturer.

We also have 16 costume slots available for every character.

The voice slots are nice, however they require some tweaking since if you load the costume with the voice slot, and use the same character with the normal voice, one will be muted.

It's possible to fix it, but dunno how ATM.

I found a link, downloaded the game.

Though, now that I think about it, IIRC, aren't the trademark holders forced to take people down who uses their IP without their permission? I remember readying long ago that if you don't one could lose the trademark to it. Might not be true as I dunno exactly how this legal system works.

But I suppose I can thank Nintendo they waited till this moment to C&D the game, instead of shutting it down when it was being worked on. Taking it down now means atleast the game is out there somewhere.

SMB2 would definitely be better, as in, more stage slots.

However, what about switches and all the moving stuff? (like brandished or switch inferno)

Also I wonder, would it be possible to port backgrounds fro the previous game?

I even recall that the filenames entry of the past game is on the SMB2 debug menu.

I remember one of the blank square stages had the asteriods and the goal design from the extra stages BG in the previous game, so I wonder if there's more stuff.

Also it would be interesting to fix up the unused or test stages that hang the game when its about to start.

That's if, you can tolerate the abysmal load speeds from an SD card.
Playing things like xenoblade is impossible because you lose so much time waiting for the game to load from the SD.
