b) But what if SMG2.5, NMG, etc. was not kill? O: c) If I needed someone to reverse a file format from a recently-deceased, non-purchasable online-only game, would I be allowed to provide files as examples here according to your rules? (There's no way to obtain the game currently, and the game is dead and abandoned regardless, so... ._. ) (The game is Darkspore BTW) (And the file format is BMDL) |

Okay, SO long story short, I have a model format (BMDL) which I need someone to make a Blender importer for. Problem is, the guy I had doing it has nearly given up, and suggested I seek someone else out. The format is from the game Darkspore, which is an online-only Action RPG based on technology from Spore. Also the game was shut down a few days ago. That's why I need this thing finished - since the game can no longer be played, I can no longer capture models from it using 3D Ripper DX.
Here's the addon so far: http://www.mediafire.com/download/w56u8clz1aj32yp/bmdlImporter_new.py it imports some models correctly, but many come out badly damaged or fail entirely. Seeing as that the game is pretty much impossible to obtain at this point, I can provide the files to anyone interested in helping, but only via PMs. Because Arisotura said so. If you're interested, let me know. If you're wondering why I want models from a dead game, it's so I can import them into Spore, for a mod I've been developing ._._. |

On the contrary, I applaud how Arisotura uses the term "upgrade" to mean "switch to a better version", rather than "switch to a newer version" XD

...if you need a functional Start Menu, try Classic Shell. It also has optional components to re-add some Explorer features as a new toolbar, as well as...some stuff for Internet Explorer...for some reason. Idk who actually wants to fix IE, but whatever. The point is, you don't have to install any of the components you don't want, so you can choose just the Start Menu ._. |
