Since I finished all the Sky High Star 1 planets, I decided to come back to Shrapnel! So here's the Squizzard boss arena. Personally I don't think such a lame boss deserves a planet this awesome but what the heck :3


The planet is Squizzard's bowl, held up in space by 3 Topman ships:

Attached to the bottom is a large lasery weapony thing:

The inside of the bowl is flowing sand, just like before, with platforms made out of debris such as stone pillars and Banzai Bills:

I actually like Squizzard...but nice modeling, I especially like the banzai bill sticking out of the sand.

Notice how Cosmological put paths on a cube for Stormshine Galaxy. Planet 1 of Thwomp Swamp Galaxy would be better if it was a large spherical planet with many objectives. Just a few paths with Thwomps might be too meager for Planet 1. So I would recommend having some wide open areas to make the first planet be sort of a starting "home".


A cubic planet? That might work. The river could flow around the sides of the cube before finally flowing into planet 2. But, I would like to keep what I have drawn so far for planet 1. Perhaps I could just twist it around so that some paths are on different sides of a cube...any suggestions?

Hmm, at first I thought this was a really stupid idea that won't get anywhere.
But maybe if this doesn't get to be a galaxy, we could work some parts into another one...hmmm...
Well, anyway, you've gotta do better than a few random 2D sketches of simple platforms if you wanna make this a full design.

I'll try another design for planet 1 and finalize my designs for planets 2, 3, and 4 (with 4 incorporating an idea for this galaxy that I've had for a long time). I really like HolyRomanEmperor's suggestion to make planet 1 cubic, I just hope that it doesn't cause any problems what with the flowing river wrapping around the planet. First thing's first, I'll attempt to rework planet 1 so that it has more substance and looks less flat.

In perfect honesty, this sounds like it fits more in the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker more than anything else, it just doesn't sound too "Galaxy like". Will it see use? I don't know.

There was already a galaxy very loosely based on Rainbow Road from Super Mario Kart. Also, if you wish to suggest a galaxy, you're going to need some drawings and a basic idea for what Star 1 should be. You should probably put it in "general level design".
