I'm not sure if it's too late to be adding to the galaxy's overall design, but what types of dinosaur bones are we working with? Would it be possible to use a large dinosaur skeleton to cross a gap in the chasm? Now, is this place meant to be lit, or dark? If dark, perhaps it could be lit by various torches, as a part of a mine. The green toad of the toad brigade could also be found mining away at the walls, searching for rare and pricey minerals to bring back to the captain. Will there be any Yoshi NPCs found in the chasm, or will they all be in the "Yoshi village"?

I love those pictures within the house, especially the photo that was taken at the end of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Speaking of which, would it actually be possible to import a model of Luigi's house? I'm not sure how far along you are on development of the intro, but I think that visiting Luigi at his D Rank house from the original Luigi's Mansion for a basic tutorial would be a nice touch, but also optional. If you can't import a model of the house, I'd suggest just having a warp pipe pushed off to the side that leads to a secluded section of the forest. Luigi would be resting here, and you can then wake him from his nap and start the tutorial. He'd give you some advice about basic platforming, wall jumps, etc. I suppose that the Toad Town Suburbs could be where you put this advice to use, with a few hidden goodies (star bits, 1-ups) located on rooftops or backyards.

Actually NWPlayer, I was referring to the D Rank mansion seen in the opening and closing cutscenes of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Though, I doubt it's possible to rip models from a 3DS game. Of course, we could always just use a retexture/recolor of Mario's house.

I personally don't feel like Still-Life galaxy's name and concept match that well. Judging by the name, I'd rather make this an art themed galaxy. A large twisting manor that requires you to find hidden switches and possibly use power-ups to progress through the halls. This should be more of a relaxing, puzzling galaxy, with little to no enemies. Various famous sculptures and paintings could cover the many rooms of the manor. But, if a majority of people are against that idea, I suppose that tweaking these sculptures and paintings to incorporate elements from the Mario games (characters, enemies, power-ups etc.) could work as well. As for the music? I was thinking a soothing, classical piano melody.

I personally think that Still-Life can be saved. Under-Over just seems too reminiscent of Flipsville, though. I could do without Flarefrost, too. I could do without yet another "hot/cold" galaxy.

Fast Food has a lot of really neat ideas going for it. But it does seem too ambitious...I think it could still work, honestly.

Personally, I think we should remake this galaxy to be more booming and adventurous, rather than quiet and mysterious like so many ice levels in Mario games. I think that a cave could really work. I'm thinking about taking inspiration from Pac-Man World 2's ice levels. They're fast paced, and oh so deadly. Especially the ice skating sections. Here's a sampling of the music used in those sections: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Fzh-bX45VY. And to put the level itself into perspective, here's gameplay of the actual level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rButKEW99pI. What do you guys think?

I actually have a different idea in mind than everyone else. We're dealing with a mountain top, right? Mountains are DEADLY. I think that a more adventurous and dangerous atmosphere would better fit the environment. Maybe something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Fzh-bX45VY? Personally, I think that quiet, soothing snow levels are far too overdone. Don't we already have enough of those?

I like the concept, but the name just doesn't fit. I would suggest either keeping the name and changing the galaxy, or just changing the name itself. "Still-Life" gives me the feeling that this galaxy would be about art, not a half-dead half-alive galaxy.

So, what are we doing with this galaxy? It seems that we have a good concept, but what about actual development? I had suggested a restructuring before, after all, "opposite galaxies" have been pretty overdone.

What I mean by that is a sprawling manor littered with sculptures and paintings. It would be a relaxing galaxy with a greater focus on puzzles and secrets than platforming or combat. How does that sound? As for the design of the manor itself, I was thinking of something similar to Peach's Castle. I know that this should go under the "music" section, but here's a sample of what I think it should sound like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgEIMYaRbsY.

What don't we have? I can't tell if you're replying to my post or not.

Still, I think we should go for a different atmosphere than what you would normally find in a snow level. Even if we don't have any snow levels besides this one, snow levels in Mario games have always been quiet and soothing. A bit of change to that standard formula would be nice.

I had suggested remaking Still Life to be a manor filled with twisting halls, puzzles, and many secrets to be found. The manor could be filled with paintings and sculptures littering the walls and halls. As for the manor itself, I was thinking that the interior could be built similarly to Peach's Castle. This would be a much more relaxing galaxy, with little to no enemies to be fought. Just puzzles and secrets. Now I'm just waiting to see if anyone is on board with this new idea.

What exactly do you mean by "fully designed", Stygmax? I'd like to make a galaxy of my own, but I can only pitch ideas. That's it, I can't make 3D models or draw a representation of what the galaxy would look like.

I'd love to help you guys, but I don't know what I could bring to the table except for new ideas. And from what I see I think we need actual levels, not ideas.

I just started the demo, and it's looking pretty good! I know that everything is just imported, but still. This is actually my first time using Homebrew (or Riivolution for that matter)! It was confusing at first, but by using a step-by-step guide I was able to get the hang of it. The only issues I really experienced was some minor lag at the start of the level and my Wii's disc tray kept flashing whenever I was playing the level. I would have played the game on a Wii U, but I went with a Wii to be on the safe side. I also had to start a new save file because I had already transferred all of my Wii save data to my Wii U. By the way, will my SD Card still have everything that it previously had on it? I apologize if this is a dumb question, I've just started to use Riivolution and Homebrew.

I'm still gonna stick with the Wii. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Riivolution on the Wii U require a game with an exploit?

Unfortunately, I don't have any of the games that have exploits. So, I guess I'm stuck using Riivolution on the Wii until I get one of them.

I really think that Still-Life can be saved, but with a new concept.
