Then it shouldn't say Planet Plains as the galaxy name :P
Also, updated my post BTW.

It says Planet plains and when i play it is PLANET PLAINS. It's as if i haven't changed a single thing. Which is weird since I changed some files.

What files did you change?
If you tell me mabby I can help.

I changed the RedBlueExGalaxy file for the Ricco harbor Stage(with the file name RedBlueExGalaxy) in the stage folder.

You also need the ObjectData.

What's that for?

Just go to the smg2.5 folder on the root of your SD card.

Go to StageData

Delete RedBlueExGalaxy.

Go to the Ricco folder in the SMS Package you downloaded.

Rename it to RedBlueExGalaxy

Move it to the StageData.

Go to ObjetData in the download. Move all of those into the ObjectData on your Sd card.

Thanks I'll try it latter.

Put it in the same place as StageData.

Okay so after I transferred the "hub file" onto the stage file and named it RedBlueExGalaxy. What do I do next I can't understand. The folder where the Sunshine galaxy's are have nothing called "ObjectData"

You put the RedBlueExGalaxyMap file in StageData, then the other files in the ObjectData folder. If you don't have it, make it.

Where exactly is the "ObjectData folder"?

root folder > ObjectData, StageData, etc.

Do I delete everything in the ObjectData folder and put in the RedBlueExGalaxyMap file?

>_< You don't put RedBlueExGalaxyMap.arc in ObjectData, you put it in StageData

When I open the "smg2.5' folder i have 5 folders. two of which are "Objectdata" and "StageData". Inside "Stagedata" I have two files called "FileSelect' and "RedBlueExGalaxy".

Silly filly, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. But you're better than /some/ other people. Let me explain in depth.

ObjectData is where all the object files are stored, each arc is just that, an archive. It usually has a model file (.bdl) and collision file (.kcl and .pa), if it's a planet. If the planet was custom imported, you would also need some extra file, namely PlanetMapDataTable.arc or ProductMapObjDataTable.arc. The reason a map wouldn't work is because said planet files are missing. Of course, the object name in a map may not always be the object file, case in point powerups in which the file is PowerUp___.arc and the object name is MorphItemNeo___.

StageData is what deals with all the galaxies and object placement, it's what places the objects and causes them to load and etc. stageData and ObjectData should be in the same root folder.
If you havr any more questions just post here.

I have none of those files you just said.

I would think it would be obvious since in the name it says planet and in my explanation I specifically say where planet files go xD
How about you download/rip the SMG2 ISO and look at the filesystem before you hack it any more xD

So now that we know the problem. What do I have to do next.

Just put it in ObjectData so that whitehole can read it, still simple. Same place you put the map, but in said objectdata folder.

Do you mean the folder inside "smg2.5" or inside "StageData"

Noes, if it did I would have said since you asked me said question before :P

I did it. I played in delfino plaza. I only have a few problems.

1-For some reason the stage is in Yoshi Star Galaxy
2-The stage is not playable. Was it suppose to just be walls and all that stuff?
3-Could I have a track list to change the songs

1- Doesn't really matter on what galaxy it's in.
2- Wait what? You didn't insert the planet right.
3- Click Here

2-What do you mean. When I play it it's just Yoshi Star Galaxy enemies running around with a yoshi egg locked up and a star that's out of reach and water that's solid ground.
