Granted but your monitor couldn't handle the new speed and explodes.

I wish that I had a bottle of beer that wouldn't get empty.

Sorry to bump this old thread MM but it's better than making a new thread for it. (I think)
I want to know how I have to use riivolution :)
I have the real copy now but I don't know how I should test things with it using riivolution :P ( I know how to launch riivolution on wii u now though)
And I've seen martboo's post but I don't know how and what I should put on my sd card to test.

Ok thanks for the replies!
So I should use the SMG2.5 stuff? (so having the smg2.5 folder on the sd root, the smg2.5.xml in the riivolution folder)
And then just delete everything in the SMG2.5 folder and put my modified files in it?
Sorry for those noob questions, but if I manage to get this working, I may finnaly get usefull here to you guys :P

Actually you must put both the XML and the SMG2.5 folder in the riivolution folder.

That crap is poorly documented, they never tell you where exactly to put what, just giving a vague "put the file on your SD card". We need to write a good tutorial about that.

Ok will add that also in it since the smg2.5 demo didn't to that for me :P, Thanks MM!
And yeah well, if I know how too do it right, I'll make a explained thread like the other one I made, because those little things stops people to continue on hacking smg1/2 lol x_x

Wow if someone can make a N64 game that has the (texture) quallity of a gc/wii game, then you are a damn good at making/placing textures :3

Can you link me to it or give the name of the mod :3 ?

Woooow you ain't kidding me, it looks better than any original N64 game, like DK64 where they did use extra ram :P
And wow, it's Skelux mod I see, didn't see this level from him yet, you need skills to make something like that :O

Just wondering but would this work on wii u?
I thought usb loaders on wii u coudln't copy a retail disc to a hdd/usb, so did anyone tried to copy files on a wii u with the extractor?
If not, I will try to know for sure.

Ok, since I have not much knowlegde as you know, I appriciate the explaining MM :P
I will try it out now and edit my post after it.
Edit: Ok I can confirm that it doesn't work (for me), it failed to load the disc (it said)

Well I also tried and installed smg2.5 demo and launched it with riivolution, what just worked.
I think it's just that people can't use the wii u disk drive to copy or extract stuff from it, but yeah I don't know, not much knowlegde about it to say for sure.

Yeah, that's why I asked if someone managed to get it working on wii u, but MM said it should work so I tested it myself and that was the result :P (the "disc loading" error)

Well uh, Mega-Mario, do you have also a version with a debugger?(that can log what went wrong or something?)
If not, I just go find my ol' iso on my pc and renew my files :P

*ninja'd by MrRean*
Well I had one, but yeah long story (if you wanna know though: https://kuribo64.net/?page=thread&id=810&from=60 )

They reached all the stretch goals, so I think this will be a great game with enough content.

:D YEAH! I really hope if this comes on the Wii U, Nintendo will be like, "What? It seems everyone likes this style of collective, open-world 3D Platforming instead of linear, timed 3D Platforming! We must bring back games like SM64 and SMS!" Then everyone will be like,"NO WAI, REALLY??" XP

Now that would be great :P
