So I’ve had this idea for over 2-3 years for a Super Mario Galaxy 2 hack called...

Super Mario Galaxy: Retro Edition

Plot:

Bowser made a machine that messed up a lot of galaxies through both games. It’s up to Mario to stop and defeat Bowser before more galaxies get messed up.

Worlds:

This will include two worlds with World One being “World Bowser Jr.,” and World 2 “World Bowser.” Each World has up to 11 galaxies mashup of ether SMG and SMG2 or SMG and SMG or SMG2 and SMG2 with a brand new galaxy and a Hungry Luma.

Well, if this gets created, we can scrap some galaxies from the list because apparently, each World has a max of 7 galaxies and trying to fit all those galaxies between two worlds can be difficult.

I've made a harder version of Melty Molten Galaxy. Here is every single mission explain.

Mission 1: The Sinking Lava Spire - To start, the first two planets are the same until you reach the second launch star. Usually, this launch star will bring you to the third launch star, which brings you to HellPoolBZone. This time, you head to HellMeteoZone which then the launch star from there will bring you to the lava spire. The lava spire itself has some changes. First, the giant crystal at the end is gone, but the star is right next to the platform were the crystal used to be. Second, there's a crystal where the giant crystal used to be, but it cover up with a black hole. Lastly, this may be the shortest mission in the galaxy.

Mission 2: Through the Meteor Storm - Again, the first two planets stay the same until the second launch star. This launch star is suppose to bring you to HellMeteoZone, but this time, it bring you to HellJKillerZone. From there, the mission stays the same.

Mission 3: Fiery Dino Piranha - Only one change is made here. The pipe that brings you to HellPoolBZone now brings you to the launch star near the lava from the first mission.

Mission 4: Lava Spire Daredevil Run - This is going to be the hardest and longest mission ever. You start doing the first mission with everything the same until you land on the ground. Everything from missions 1-3 are here. The first planet has two different paths to reach the launch star while meteors fall from the sky. Everything else from that first mission is the same until the lava spire. This lava spire doesn't have the black hole from the first mission and show that crystal. This has a launch star which brings you to HellTypeCDossusPlanetZone from the second mission. Afterwards, that launch star will bring you to the launch star near the lava (Note that the entire Lava planet will be raised because it has a path once on the lava spire cutscene begin). After that launch star, you'll reach HellPoolBZone which has the layers A & C on it. Once the launch star appears after killing the fire cinders, that will bring you to the HellRotateGround2DPlanetZone, and then after the launch star appears, it will take you to HellLavaFloatingZone, which will bring you to Fiery Dino Piranha.

Mission 5: Red-Hot Purple Coins & Mission 6: Burning Tide - These mission have no changes to their mission.

My entire state is shutting their schools on Wednesday to do a thorough clean of every school and we will be off until April. It really sucks, but we still have school work to do while on this break.

For Super Mario Galaxy 2 Hacking you can add layers via Dossun, but how do you add layers for Super Mario Galaxy. When I played Kaizo Mario Galaxy and looked at it through Whitehole, I’ve noticed that LayerE for StarDustGalaxy.arc was added and LayerA was added to GCaptureTutorialZone.arc. I also notice that the scenarios file for SMG1 don’t appear when converted over from an arc. So, can someone help me please.

(This only works with Small or Medium crystals) Under obj_arg7 or item, there are numbers that say what item it is. For the sling star, that number will be 2. It’s even on the note when you select that object without you placing it. Hopefully this helps my good sir.

Did you add the sling stars inside the crystal? If so, make sure that the SW_A and SW_Dead have 10xx (these x’s mean numbers) as there number

(This is a possible follow up to my Layer Question for SMG1). I’m seen videos showing that Super Mario Galaxy 2 uses a .msbt file, but how do you edit a .bmg or a .tbl file for Super Mario Galaxy. For example, when SunakazeKun uploaded the Space Junk Cosmic Race, and when loaded, the player would see “Space Junk Cosmic Race” under mission 4 instead of “Pull Star Path Speed Run.” But if the user extracted that file for their corresponding language, that file contained a Message.arc file which contain three file, one .bmg and two .tbl files. Does anyone have any recommendations for editing these type of files?

So I've made Mario Squared Galaxy inside of Super Mario Galaxy's Toy Time Galaxy, replacing the old design. The only problem is that only 7 out of the 72 panels work. I've tried to fix them, but I can't. I'm not using this for a star, but the file I've made has the star with it. If there's a tutorial for flip panels, please let me know.
