This is a poison swamp and mushroom level so I think we should have some cool new mushroom concepts here. Such as mushrooms that bounce you, others that burn you and others that have different effects, all being of a different color and shape. All together using mushrooms or different properties we could make for a very challenging and interesting galaxy

If possible, the night mission could include a step to the beat section with mushrooms that light up on the beat. When they turn off, they would be impossible to see. Mario would have to jump from mushroom to mushroom without falling, while being chased by cosmic clones to keep him moving.

are some ideas, by cosmological and More-Cowbell respectively.

Also, this galaxy was inspired by BowieZ's Humongous Fungus :3

This is a clock and time based galaxy so we should have a bunch of time based themes here. I'd say look to Tick Tock Clock and Clockworks Galaxy for some ideas, such as the pendulums and hands on the clock. We also need some concepts relating to the atom like having some in the background or maybe having a bouncy helium atom to jump around on, like the bouncy planet in Bouldgeist's galaxy in SMG1.

Perhaps a cluster of enormous retextured grapes as the protons/neutrons/nucleus, with smaller grapes moving in a circle around it, as electrons . Perhaps Mario needs to hit a switch so that he can get on the electrons (they're moving REALLY fast). Maybe the electrons can be the size of that smallest planet in Sky Station Galaxy. It was grey.

BowieZ's picture for Atomic Clock is Mario walking on molecule planets. So I tried to come up with a way to incorporate those planets in the level without it being bland or boring. Here's what I thought of:

Is it possible to have seperate "atom" like planets that are scattered around, and then connect them by doing little puzzles like flipswitches, ground pound stumps, etc.?
Here is the molecule after, with those poles between the atoms being "bonds" that act as bridges. Before the switches, the atoms would not be connected.

twelve planets, arranged in a circle like a clock, each with a different atomic/time related threat on and a giant clock tower in the centre where the first star could be.

Maybe the second star could take place inside the clock tower? Or perhaps a daredevil/speedy comet run (my thinking is a speedy comet, as it is a clock galaxy).

Cosmic Clones could be one of the threats as gc has suggested, and maybe another one could be an atom-like planet swarming with electrons (I know that's not how it works, but physics kinda goes out the window in Mario).

I'm thinking... A massive factory planet in which massive conveyor belts, smokestacks, and vats of molten metal can be found.

Since this is Bowser's primary factory, we could include pretty much every single one of his mechanical enemies.

It would be nice to see the ghost mushroom make an appearance here and take advantage of its ability to go through walls and be affected by light in a puzzle maze concept.
