sounds cool, i agree with agent though, those 3notes sound like a mistake, you need other things doubling that rhythm like having the percussion push in time with it, otherwise it sounds too weak, great atmosphere though.

ive got no issue with the idea, i just think you need to commit to it more, its the "half-assed" aspect of it that make it sound like a sequencing mistake. i actually think its a great track, you just need to emphasise the rhythmic disonance.

yeah i totally get what your saying , but the average player will just hear it and think its a mistake, unless its more supported its just my opinion of course.

been working on a new strange composition recently, its got a sort of grand desolate ending sort of feel, not finished yet, didnt really write it for anything in particular, but if you guys think it would fit somewhere :P, i know its a strange way of doing things but hey :P http://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=X0IojzABg6xUkfAI

yeah GE i was thinking it could be a late map theme too, maybe the impromptu section could be toned down a little haha

i think in general the team dont really want to use remixes or remasters just original pieces, apart from exceptions for some of the retro levels, as far as i know

im fine with glem/cosmo etc approving the music, as composers i feel will have to much investment in our own pieces, its hard to see thinks fairly all the time, and our music is something the general mario playing public should enjoy, i think its fine therefore that "non musicians" do the approving

http://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=TBhMEMLuXUaYk9pY done some more work on my bowser music, i think it would work nice as a boss fight, but i cant find that board, so ill just update it here, still abit more work to be done, but no time today, so ill work on it over the week

possibly, ill see how it could fit once ive finished, like i said i had to leave early today but ill finish during the week, probs monday or tuesday. might be possible to add themes from other pieces or combine ideas, but its way too much hassle to be resending midis back and forth etc.

i can certainly redo the chorus, though i havent done so as of yet. seems like ive made a marmite piece, which everyone either loves or hates haha.

writing a super upbeat more geniune mario style composition at the moment, i think it would work nicely for either an intro music or an early "classic" looking mario level, you know.. blocks and grass and all that!! http://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=Rg6cJlJ1Nk8B8zW9

snowy mountain music.. sounds right up my alley also.. im good at the strange harmony stuff :)

also, if your unhappy with recording, try recording too midi, vgm music is ALWAYS heavily quantised and compressed, live playing rarely cuts it, unless its a professional orchestra
