It will never show up as an object like the rest of the game's objects in Whitehole (unless you edit the object database). Whitehole has a second text box you can type in below the object selection menu. Type name of your object in there and press the select button on the right side of the box. Done. Place the object.

You need to remove the entries in the galaxy's ZoneList. For a list of zones that need to be removed: https://tcrf.net/Super_Mario_Galaxy/Unused_Zones

To remove an entry, you must open the BCSV editor and click here (hopefully it works):

Type in the name of the galaxy and remove any zones that are in the list provided by TCRF.

What's the current state of the mod?
Not shit, maybe 60%? We really shouldn't have announced the mod so soon originally. Blame MK7T.

Who has joined/left the mod?
Hackio has left the team. We kicked him out. MK7T left as well. Cochu is writing music for us, we have Louiskovski doing some modelling (albeit quite slowly, but he is working on his own mod) and Zyphro, who is helping with music, level design and other things.

can we drop this outdated view on dolphin usage already?

ips, xdelta and bps patches are all viable and legal patch options for a legitimate WBFS/ISO file

the only thing stopping you from building a copy of the game with your riivolution patch installed is laziness.

Did you add the sling stars inside the crystal? If so, make sure that the SW_A and SW_Dead have 10xx (these x’s mean numbers) as there number


SW values of 1000 and above are for switches that activate objects across multiple zones. It should not matter in this case.

The issue should be fixed given that you use one of the more recent versions of Whitehole.
Use either:
v1.4.3
or
v1.5.1

There is no public editor for this. The only way to edit SMG's BMG/TBL files is via hex editing.

Make an object with the definition SwitchingMoveBlock.
This object will move when activated by a Switch of some sort.
The direction the object moves in is determined in its Obj_Args,
Obj-Arg0-2 are for the XYZ displacement respectively.
ObjArg3-5 are for rotation.
Once activated they can be reactivated by activating the same switch again.

As long as the object's collision can do damage to Mario, this would work, though its not the best possible method.

This IS actually possible. It requires some fancy AST setup and you must also replace Starshine Beach's AST file iirc.
Basically you have to have four channels of audio. First two are the Primary LR (above water) tracks, and the second two are the Secondary LR (under water).

If you wish to convert your AST with this setup, you should use XAYR's tool here.

Usage is:
mkast.exe "wav file" "ast file"

All you have to do to loop it is set loop points in the WAV file itself and the program will do the rest for you.
