Hello, everyone! I'm new to the forums but have been wanting to aid in your Mario Galaxy 2.5 project for a while. But, I've ran into a few issues.
I've dumped my legal copy of Mario Galaxy 2 to the desktop using Dolphin and successfully was able to edit and move a few objects around in one of the first levels as a test. I reverted the now edited files into an ISO using PowerISO and it completes. I then try to open it in Dolphin, but it says that the ISO is invalid. Should I be using a different program? Any help would be appreciated.

Alrighty. I'll give it a shot and I'll report back if anything goes wrong.
Thank you very much! -Mariofreak63 |

Well, I do have a Wii-readable disk drive, but I ripped the ISO using USBLoaderGX. I believe it's much faster than anything I've used. |

Alright, I'm not sure if I'm not looking hard enough or what, but I can't seem to find the option to put all of the extracted Mario Galaxy 2 files into WIIScrubber So I can create a working ISO to test. |

I think it's better to create an ISO rather than burn a disc. It's faster, and easier to handle than having to burn a new disc every time you edit the code/levels.
Alright! I was able to get in and replace files, but which files do I replace? I edited one of the first levels, Yoshi Star Galaxy, and I'm not sure if I just replace the files in "YosshiHomeGalaxy", or if I need to replace other files as well. (Sorry for all of the questions. Once I figure all of this out, I'll be helping out in full force!) |

Thank you, Mega-Mario! I've gotten everything to work! I'll start drawing out some concept art for some levels and whatnot.
I've noticed that if you edit even the smallest things, (enemies, flowers, ect) it requires you to put those individual files into the ISO. Tedious, tedious, tedious. XD |

Hooray for progress! Now I need to start coming up with those level designs! I just need to think of a theme. |
