One thing I'd loved to see here (and yes I know it's just a side detail) is a broken bullet bill that has been split in half, allowing us to see the inside. It could be really neat. |

Remember, this is the CONCEPT ART topic. |

I don't like this idea. Too many unnecessary setpieces that complicate things. I'd rather we think of interesting ideas like... oh I dunno, what about a level called "Entering the switch matrix", a level where you enter through component cables to go inside the wiring of the main power source/computer chip of the galaxy, full of switches and gravity puzzles, as well as electricity. Just a random idea, there's so much creative stuff here, we don't need crappy cut and paste jumping from SD cards :/ |

So, hiya, late to the party again: We should stray from anything "fake". I don't know what I originally said about this galaxy, but I'd much rather have it be out there and crazy than "fake". Faking the player out is fun for maybe one or two moments in the level, but I'd rather it be more illusion and puzzle based. Also just weird stuff happens. Like this:
(Yes I know that's more like concept art). Anyway, the idea is more that the galaxy should be strange and bizarre, but no fakeouts like fake stars or collisionless platforms. |

Or we could just have solar panels or leave it unexplained. Because it's, y'know, a Mario game.
I'm actually all for gravigen but taking it out of boss levels just feels like we're shoving it down the players' throats. |

I honestly disagree, it would be nice to be left a mystery. Just like the ship in shiprock or the spaceship in the original SMG's spacejunk. It's a crashed satellite. I don't think more is needed. |

That's actually a good idea. I've always thought that grate climbing was a feature that should have been in SMG/SMG2, so I'd love to see us try to bring that back. Maybe talk to Phantomwings? |

Okay, robotoad looks... bizarre. And I don't like the idea. Anyway, the photos posted of plants were great. The first one (the green flower) especially. Here's some more:

It's possible if we keep the camera stationary. Just look at 3D land. We could put one of those eye platforms where you need to stand to rotate the camera properly. |

That's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. Mario games, and especially Mario galaxy, open up possibilities to try anything. You guys are just focusing on "zomg cool looking effects!". Which isn't what Mario is about. In fact, it's not what any game should be about because games like that will be horribly dated in a number of years, but that's a different story entirely. Gameplay. Emphasis on "game". |

NWP, you need to stop making so many assumptions. What makes you think that drybones count as dead when they're jumped on? I'm 99% sure that's not true. They only count as dead if you run into them with a star or sink them in quicksand. If anything, maybe the boss could involve platforming to a switch that fills the room with quicksand, killing the giant drybones. |

I know that you're following Astro's original idea... but I feel as though this galaxy should be untouched by Bowser. |

I like his idea, I just don't think that Bowser should be involved. It makes no difference on the actual design of the level other than having a bowser emblem removed. |

Remember, these pictures are just meant to give a FEEL of the level. Not exactly how the planets will be shaped. |

This idea is silly. Why would we change to a super mushroom? Once again, this is just changing stuff for the hell of it, the galaxy games used star mushrooms, and we'll keep with that tradition. If you want to make a patch to switch them for when you play it, fine by me. |

I specifically made sure that this would have 242 stars, just like SMG1 and SMG2. Let's not overestimate our abilities. We haven't even made ONE LEVEL guys. |

Let's be honest... this galaxy is "Sonic CD Galaxy". I guess we should do it in a similar way, Bowser could have some evil who-knows-what that needs to be destroyed in order to save the future. |

So like I said in the IRC...
- Start working on worlds from World 1 (Excluding Astral Stronghold) - Whitehole trailer - Weekly "Whitehole level experiments" - Asking for modelers and concept artists, separate videos for different jobs we need So... yeah. |

I'm... actually kind of surprised by this... 99% of places I go, people think SMG2 is better. Though it might be because most of us are young and since our lives have been shorter we're already nostalgic about SMG1 instead of 2. |
