I have no clue what you're talking about NWP. No switches, pipes. I don't want any crappy finicky switch stuff messing up a very simple gimmick. |

I actually think I'd like super happy star 1 followed up by a surprisingly gloomy star 2. |

Let me just say that crumpled up paper is one of the hardest things to possibly model, so let's not include anything like that. |

It would only be in terms of graphical style, not actual levels... but I hear you. |

Yeah we do, but he's not going to compose anything, trust me. |

Stop saying something is simple when it isn't. You're not thinking it through. There are 3 models here and 3 timezones to deal with, not to mention enemies and other objects. You're overcomplicating things for no reason. Pipes are way more practical, no more mention of it on the forum, you can object to me on the IRC. |

Cirnya, Thneedville is from the rather crappy (but pretty!) 2012 film adaptation of Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax". It's basically a town with no nature, since nature has been replaced by machines, but the town itself isn't depressing looking:
All the trees are made of brass and have lights, the bushes are inflatable, the flowers unfold and have little mechanical bees... |

I'm saying that the process of making crumpled paper is very, very tedious... and considering our lack of 3D modelers, I don't think it's best to include it in the design. Plus, the collision on such an object would be EXTREMELY iffy. |

Perhaps linear but feeling more like an actual ENVIRONMENT... like, what if the level took place on little snippets of HUGE planets, for a change? |

Why do we need water again?
Edit: How in the world does Lanayru desert, an area that is REAL nature, fit this galaxy, while Thneedville, a place trying to MIMICK nature, doesn't? The whole point of the galaxy is that it mimics nature with things like metal and rubber! That's not lanayru at all. |

Plus, with this being a nintendo game, I wouldn't be surprised if they would make a bunch of references to clean energy, like they did with the wind power in SM3DL. We could have something like that here as well, and you could maybe even ride the wind with a mechanical variant of floaty fluff. |

...It's not dark at all. Or at least, it's not meant to be. I think you're reading it a little darker than it is because there's smoke coming from the volcano, which you might have thought was a bad thing . |

So yeah, there's our inspiration. Nintendo Land, the Lorax, and Banjo Kazooie N&B. Sounds good to me. |

Well, not quite... there's our inspiration, but we still need people to make mockups of plants, how planets will look, how trees will look, how clouds will look, how the backgrounds will look... |

I haven't read the design for this in a while, but if you ask me, we could probably use multiple images as inspiration, as you could switch between many large planets, one like the first and second images, as well as going INSIDE of a sun and on top of one like in the last few images. |
