I think he means like what is your position in this project, what are you going to do, reverse engineering, modeling, sounds?

I agree with SGC, I think that this project is really big and you won't be able to do this with your current experience, you should try to do a simpler port first before you try to do something as big as this.

Using SM64 textures for a SMG2 level is not a great idea, use SMG textures or something.

You can use SuperBMD, drag the bdl to SuperBMD and it will output a DAE with its textures, then import it to blender

Try making an env map, go to the materials tab, check *Shadeless*, then go to the texture tab, then in preview, go to the materials tab and in the *Mapping* section, change the coordinates to *Normal*, then swap to material mode, and you have your env map

In Sketchup it's even easier

Hi guys, Doopz here, today I bring you a new thread, for what, you say?, Well, I'm working on a Super Mario Sunshine Mini hack for the people who are waiting for Super Mario Sunshine Deluxe to get released, its called Mario's Vacation, it will include 2 new levels and a brand new hub.
Lets take a look at one of the levels :):

nice man i am hyped but wouldn't it be better if you called this sms deluxe demo so you would have actually made sms deluxe and deluxe demo progress? (if you know what I mean)

Its not really a demo because it doesnt include anything from sms deluxe

As you can see, I managed to rig my edited and tweaked SM64 mario model to the SMG2 boneset using BMDCubed and MaxBMD.

I will probably make a tutorial soon. Have a nice day! :)
