Nice! That's the version that contains the best rendition of Super Mario 3D Land's main theme! Unfortunately the final version just has that jazzy crap. |

Nice thread Mariofanatic. I agree with it greatly. SM64, SMS, SMG, and SMG2 are some of greatest things ever created on the earth IMO. Sadly 3D Land is where it all fell apart. I still shed a tear everytime I hear something like Super Mario Galaxy's title screen. Amazing, and now classic. |

A new version of Shifting Sand Land or Wet-Dry World would be really cool. |

Posted by skyluigi_ts142001 Yeah, you can see where i'm coming from. I know there are already some good-looking models made for Bob-Omb Battlefield, but i'd rather see one of the more unique levels from Super Mario 64. Nevertheless, making these new models takes up a ton of time, so just remaking Bob-Omb Battlefield with the resources we already have could be considered more efficient. |

Posted by GreenThunder1337 Because 3D Land/World level design/progression is very bland and uninspired. Go through the level, climb the flagpole, you're done. It just makes me feel like it's NSMB in 3D. In the other 3D Mario games, you had to perform some very specific and tricky tasks to obtain your stars, not just go through some standard level to climb another flagpole. Oh, and by the way, 3D Land was fine on it's own, and I don't hate it either way, I didn't mind that the linear-esque changes because it was for a portable system. However, now that it's made an impact and this linear 3D Mario level design is starting to appear on consoles, I have no choice but to blame 3D Land. It's not a bad game, but I feel it's more like a 2D Mario game than a 3D Mario game. Same for 3D World. |

Posted by Agent000 Honestly there are much better remixes of Super Mario 64's Hazy Maze Cave theme out there. |

Posted by GreenThunder1337 Lol, prepare to be wrong then. It's 100% real, datamined from the accidental release of tomorrow's update early in Japan. Here's what happened when a lucky hacker replaced Mario's files with Lucas's, Roy's, Ryu's... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qL2jfFnxto it looks "rather convincing" because it's the real thing, no doubt about it. |

Posted by Agent000 You are very welcome sir. :^) I would introduce you to the remix I had in mind but unfortunately it seems the guy who composed it deleted it from his youtube channel. ;( Posted by Anthe That pyramid remix sounds amazing. Shame we might not be able to use it. ![]() |

Sorry guys but Super Mario Maker looks so much better than all the custom made 2D Mario level editors out there. The input is instant, you can test your levels on the fly, and you can immediately switch to different game themes. Also, the editing is so much more intuitive. Plus, you can't have Magikoopas or Bowser Jr. in vanilla SMB... this kind of stuff is what makes Mario Maker great. Theres so many customization options I feel like I shouldn't have to explain them all.
It's worth 60 bucks. If you paid 60 bucks for NSMBU then you should have no problem paying 60 bucks for this. It's basically the entire game with a never-ending supply of levels to play. Infinite replay value, basically. AND you can make levels in SMB/SMB3/SMW themes. Can't believe people here are hating on this game. It's one of the only good things to happen at this year's E3. Animal Crossing Amiibo Party and Metroid Federation were the bad things. |

Posted by gridatttack Definitely worth sixty bucks for this tool, i'll be happy to say goodbye to this nonsense.
For making game hacks, yeah, Reggie is the better option. But if you just want to make levels, SMM is the way to go (at least for me) each to his own opinion. I'll be happily buying it for 60 bucks because it'll probably be one of the last first-party games for wii u judging by Nintendo's lack of support for the system. |

Hey MercuryPenny, mind telling me what makes Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, etc. so interesting? I agree with MarioFanatic, they are boring, standard Mario games.
64 defined a generation in which gaming shifted to 3D, as well as Mario platformers. Sunshine defined a generation in which 3D Mario would take an unexpected twist on a tropical island with a strange new water pack device. A definite shift from Super Mario 64. Galaxy defined a generation in which the platforming genre would be transformed by the addition of gravity, crazy new mechanics, and so much more. --- Now let's see what these new games have to offer... Super Mario 3D Land...defines a generation of.....linearity? Tanooki Suits? I have no idea. The game doesn't have it's own identity. It's just a standard linear 3D Mario platformer. The same can be said for 3D World, what did it add that was new? Cat suits? Multiplayer? Umm sorry, but I prefer the dramatic gameplay twists of Galaxy to this boring stuff. Multiplayer IMO flopped ever since NSMBW, it's nearly impossible to complete a course with four people without somebody getting screwed over and dropping their controller. And for NSMB2...uhh...it defined a generation of coins...? But then again, coins were in the original SMB game, so...back to square one.... |

Umm, I guess it would have been better, but still no new Wii U games besides Mario Tennis, which still confirms Nintendo would be killing the Wii U. |

Not sure if this is a stack trace, but let me know if it isn't. So I have three enemies and an Extermination Switch. The Extermination Switch activates a Bubble Shooter. All three enemies share the same GeneratorID that is also the l_id of the ExterminationSwitch, and the ExterminationSwitch shares the same SW_A with the shooter, to activate it. When I killed all three of the enemies in the game, this crash happened. |
