I do not think Mario Kart 7 is even close to being "retro" but they kind of have to put SOME tracks from that game in the Retro cups.

It's safe to say that there will be four MK7 stages (one for each cup). They had 4 Gamecube stages in MKDS, 4 DS Stages in MKWii and 4 Wii stages in MK7.

It's pretty obvious :P

Yeah, it is sadly obvious. (Even though MK7 had mostly shitty tracks besides for a select few)

Uhh doublepost, but Waluigi's an assist trophy again

Kind of disappointing actually, I found no reason for him to be playable in brawl, but if Little Mac is upgraded to playable character status you might as well put some of the other good ones too. (Expects "BUT WALUIGI IS ONLY A SPORT CHARACTER WAAA" replies)

Bean is making a CTGP server thing off of his own computer to compensate for this. The only thing is you won't be able to play the original Mario Kart Wii online anymore, it has to be CTGP, which to be fair is a thousand times better, because you get all the original tracks plus new ones and new remakes.

As for brawl, I bet bean or someone else will compensate as well.

Mario Kart 7's tracks felt like a disappointment. They just got really boring after a month while Mario Kart Double Dash's tracks STILL haven't gotten old.

EXACTLY I LOVE YOU (not like that :))

All of MK7's tracks got really frusterating after a while and to see everyone pick SNES Rainbow Road. I'll be excited for MK8 even if it did skip the N64 RR and go straight to GBA. GBA Rainbow Road is a lot better than the SNES version.

All of the new tracks (except for Piranha Plant Slide and a few others) are never picked online because they are generally lackluster, which makes me even more mad that they brought back DK Jungle even though NOBODY likes it. (Besides MM720, forever alone :3) I would choose Music Park, Rock Rock Mountain, P. Plant Slide and Maka Wuhu to return.

Plus I got sick of all the retro tracks, when the good ones are picked (Wii Mushroom Gorge or something) they seem to last so fast and then it's BACK TO SNES RAINBOW ROAD >.<

Sorry for the little rant here but I really hope MK8 isn't a frusterating as MK7.

Most of the time MK7's tracks get criticized because of ONLINE and people spamselecting the same 2-3 tracks with little variety. Double Dash didn't have online. If you don't play MK7 online or play with reasonable friends then it's a different story IMO.

Music Park/Melody Motorway (Music Park is a crappy name compared to Melody Motorway :3) and Piranha Plant Slide/Pipeway are already confirmed for MK8 anyway, so there's that :P

Well yeah I knew those were confirmed (you think I missed the first trailer?) :P

Also let's see here:

Cheep Cheep Lagoon > Cheep Cheep Cape

Wuhu Loop < Wuhu Island Loop

Music Park < Melody Motorway

Rock Rock Mountain > Alpine Pass

Piranha Plant Slide < Piranha Plant Pipeway

Wario Shipyard < Wario's Galleon

Neo Bowser City > Koopa City

Maka Wuhu > Wuhu Mountain Loop

N64 Koopa Beach < N64 Koopa Troopa Beach

So it's almost fair :)

EDIT: Also the francisco course is called Toad Harbor.

Yeah i'm sorry I was "verbally abusive" in those posts. But it looks as if I was right, I haven't seen a single update ever since this guy declared a revive.

There is nothing (besides money - for getting a gateway and 4.5 3ds) stopping people from extracting your own legally-bought game.

Don't worry about it, all I can say is that is that the files you are looking for are easy to obtain as long as you use google. Can't share any further information than that.

And yes, this is some pretty bad shading on these models

Only seems to be in EFE though, in Sketchup, they look decent

Looks nice.

However, I keep getting this error when I press the convert button

Maybe i'm missing a painfully obvious mistake or the model is screwed up somehow, but I don't think it's the latter, the model i'm using is ported straight from Super Mario 3D Land.

I'm usually always up for some Smash ;)

I don't main a particular character, I like playing a multitude of characters, but my uhh "favorite" character is Doctor Mario.

Sorry if this is wrong board/thread etc. but I really don't know where else to get advice on this.

My brother is a

****ing ***hole
, he's doing drugs, he's getting terrible grades, etc. etc. etc. Every day I get in the car from when my Dad picks me up from the bus stop, there is always bad news about my brother. "He has an F in Algebra 2 again" "He got caught doing xxx again" etc. etc. I think my brother has pretty much gotten this way because my Dad is overly nice and you could say a "bad parent". But my Dad's not, he's honestly not, I feel so bad because he's such a nice guy when I hear about how my friends parents are so mean and stuff like that, I feel bad. My brother is so mean to him though! When i'm trying to casually browse the computer my brother is freaking screaming at the top of his lungs to my dad and I just can't take it, I had to do something.

Today, I had enough, I was really pissed off of hearing the constant yelling, so I went up to my brother and told him to stop being a ****ing baby and accept being grounded. However, just because I did that, my brother punched me as hard as he could in my arm, and to be quite honest, it didn't hurt THAT bad nor did it leave a bruise, but I still cried, because I feel like my family is falling apart. My aunt and uncle have such nice kids that are going off to UC Los Angeles studying freaking medical stuff, when my brother is getting D's and F's, yelling back at his parents, doing drugs, hitting me when I just try to help my dad because I feel bad, etc. etc. etc.

And i'm supposed to be on good terms with my brother, I want to like him, but whenever he's doing something wrong and I call him out on it, he gets a personal ****ing vendetta against me and punches me and stuff when my dad goes off to work. And I can't even fight back, I just sit in my room like a baby and cry, because I feel so bad about it. But this isn't my responsibility, I want to call somebody to help my family out on this. My stepmom and my stepbrother don't do **** about it either, and I don't even live with my real mom anymore, my real mom is an alchoholic who I can no longer rely on.

So my question is, who can I call on to help me out with this problem? My family can't solve it on our own. My brother needs to get out of the house, stop being addicted to doing bad things, stop being an ***hole to my dad, etc. I feel like I want to call the Police or Child Protective Services, but then they would just get mad at my Dad for not being a strict enough parent. I don't want that to happen, my dad's a nice guy who doesn't deserve any of that. So that's my question, do you know of any service I should try calling to stop my brother from being a fricking screwup in life? I just want to live in a normal family again.

Sorry if this post contains a lot of bad language, is hard to understand, etc.

Sorry MG3 but I couldn't disagree more with your opinions.

Yoshi Circuit was by far the best retro in the pack as well as my favorite DLC course. Wario's Gold Mine is good too. However, SNES Rainbow Road is absolutely disgusting and atrocious and i'm still baffled why they picked that garbage instead of some awesome GBA track.

As for the new courses, well.... Excitebike....kind of sucks, not kidding, don't really like it that much. On a much brighter note, MUTE CITY IS AWESOME, Dragon Driftway is pretty good, Ice Ice Outpost is nothing special, and Hyrule Circuit is cool but it's kind of a hard track.

Sorry I have kind of an extreme tone, but honestly, I LOVE some of the tracks in this DLC, but absolutely HATE some of the tracks in this DLC, there's really no in between.

Oh and uhh, the characters? Link and Tanooki Mario are cool, Cat Peach can burn in a fire, and all the karts are cool.

This DLC was AWESOME. I was almost more hyped for this than when the game itself came out! I love all the tracks with Mute City being my favorite and Ice Ice Outpost being my least favorite. Sorry MG3. Anyway, the karts, and characters were pretty good in my opinion. (Link kinda justifies Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach for me) I think it's going to be very difficult for another DLC pack to ever top this one, at least not from Nintendo.

Yeah, I didn't like Ice Ice Outpost either. The music is cool but otherwise it's just a bland track with no ice elements, just two roads. Would've rather had GBA RIBBON ROAD NINTENDO, but lol, i'm cool about it.

Sorry but this isn't hacking, all I see is you just dumping models from a game with a tool someone made, "Who did this?" "Me :P" more like Gericom for decrypting the 3DS and making it dump-able. You are just taking credits for what someone else did, ripping models with EFE is fairly easy that's the only thing I see you doing, and ANYONE can do it.

Sure, but I don't think "Super Mario 3D Land Looking at the Model Files" would be a very interesting thread title, wouldn't you say?

Also, it is essentially the first step in hacking the game, exploring the files and seeing how the game works. You are right that it isn't exactly "hacking" though.

In the 2.5 trailer, how did you got the smoke for Bowser's castle and where did you got the model from? Or did you create the model self? How did you do everything dark in star 2 in Planet Plains Galaxy too?

It's an object called "StarPieceSpotEruption"

It renders as a smoke cloud until you activate one if it's functions that makes it explode and release a bunch of star bits. Of course, you can just not make it activate and have it render as a smoke cloud forever.

If you still don't know what i'm talking about, it's this

BTW Gericom probably didn't even create the editor, js

And ripping models is easy, yes. But actually understanding the format itself? No. Read the entire thread, please.

So you've already understood the file formats? Seems like you were just talking about them casually.

Actually, Anarchy in The Galaxy was released in June 2010. I joined Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 when I discovered Glem3's thread on RVlution. Now, the One World Hack has a smaller team. I am not part of the One World Hack due to lack of interest in SMG hacking. But, I made a thread for the One World Hack on Kafuka even though it did not do much to interest people.

And now we are here with the One World Hack. Actually, the team is here since I am no longer part of it as a stated above. :P
I'm also slowly starting to remember my SMG2.5 ideas.

In the end, I'll probably just end up creating Lasso Desperado Galaxy with Rosalink13 as a custom SMG2 level.

Yeah I remember you being like literally one of the first SMG2.5 members alongside Glem3. :3

I joined like three months after the SMG2.5 boards were made. I changed a lot of nicknames, got banned numerous times, actually had some fun (lol), trolled (unfortunately), etc.

Some of those things i'm admittedly not proud of, but I just have to be honest.

Whitehole was already in the works even before 2.5 was introduced (I think it was C# at first, but when we contacted him at NSMBHD, it was already Java with working rendering for SMG1)

I HIGHLY doubt that. I might be wrong, but SMG2.5 had already been going on for like one or two years before the migration to Kuribo64 and the eventual conception and release of Whitehole. Anarchy however, was before 2.5.

EDIT: Nevermind, he means post-model importer SMG2.5 had begun development after Whitehole was in conception, which is entirely true.
