Currently, we don't need testers, and I don't think even I will organize a betatesting program because most of the time the contribution is insignificant compared to the work needed to set up and coordinate this task.

eLua is a mission editor part of atmospheretoolkits, a toolkit which aim to give a complete and functionnal workflow for Sonic Colors Wii modding.


eLua is a mission editor which works using the mission descriptor file in Sonic Colors (LUA), to edit missions easily, an ergonomic interface and a comprehensive documentation.
Concerning application assistance, I don't ensure further development of this tool, but minor issues may be under support.

Nintendo are ridiculously antiquated and that’s the reason I don’t care at all about the company anymore, I don’t even want to buy a switch on the grounds of their awful treatment of fans, they should just work on PC games and they’d probably be more successful in the mainstream market.

Like seriously, why would you take down fan projects, I could understand if you were making money without permission, but um, not if you’re just doing it as a hobby.

How fast is downloading the mods though? With how much RAM the Wii has, I honestly think it would be even slower than the Old 3DS, and that was really slow.

Interesting question.
The mods are downloaded per packets, which are stored in a RAM buffer, currently a size of 1024 bytes and after writed to the SD card, and taking in account that actually I can increase the size of the buffer.
The RAM type used there is the MEM1 1T-SRAM, the one that is directly on the GPU die, and actually this is even quickier than eDRAM that have been used in some CPUs as L3 cache, so you see that the buffering time is pretty insignificant, and the RAM will never be a problem for download as you would need about many Gb/s connection to really feel a slow down on the Wii.

In definitive, the download speed depends on the performance of the SD card and the network (including the Wi-Fi performance on both parts).

Quantitatively, for me a normal mod take about 3 seconds for me to download with a fiber connection. The download speed isn't a big deal there as you aren't downloading many Gbits of data, only few Mbits.

Exactly, nothing more to say. The online version may come, but it isn't the priority, the main focus will be always the Wii platform.

macOS is based on Darwin, which is based on Unix, so most stuff that works on Linux can be relatively easily done on a Mac.

This is a little taken too far,or very relative.
MacOS may be based on Unix, but this doesn't mean the entire Unix is in MacOS.
Like with Android.
