Hello!

So lets get right to it. I was thinking of creating a SMG2 hack and I decided to do it kinda like SM64 Chaos edition. (Unfortunately, without the random code changes)

What I'm doing is adding a bunch of:
1. TROLLS!!!
2. Random switches
3. Bob-ombs. (And fire flowers)
4. SECRETS...
5. A whole bunch of enemies. (Goomba's being the main attraction here)

So, to demonstrate, I have set up a little demo of one level. (Replacing Rightside Down Galaxy AKA:AbekobeGalaxy)
NOTE: This level is fairly simple, mainly because there is really only 2D to work with.

Just find the filename in the filesystem of the ISO and replace the files using WiiScrubber or something.

The question is if you would like to see this as a full hack. Let me know!
(Keep in mind that this is just a demo and that it is a 2D stage)

So I have decided to give SMG2:Kazio Edition a codename. (Because why not? XP)

Anyway, I am having some issues that are slowing the production of this hack a lot
and I am wondering if I can have some assistance. The problem persists as follows: ("The problem persists as follows" what am I saying?)

I have taken the model files for the snapping space junk parts from SMG1 and inserted them into SMG2 so I can use them in levels as walls... maybe. But now whenever I load the ISO in WIIScrubber, It says partion 1 is a "BAD" partion and I have to use partionbuilder to build a partion EVERY TIME I make a change to a level.. Is there any way to fix this? All help possible would be great.

(BTW: All updates and such regarding this project will be in this thread.)

So I have a 16 star demo of SMG2:Kaizo edition (yes I have been spelling it wrong)

Here's a list of some features:
MAX DIFFICULTY
(or not :P depends on your definition on MAX difficulty)

one thing to note is that the 2nd and comet star in SPIN DIG GALAXY will crash for some reason.
if you feel like trying to fix it you can. (that's not saying I wont try to fix it either)

I didn't reallyknow how I was going to upload it, so I just created a partition for you to import to the game with WiiScrubber. There is probably another way to do this. Note: maybe Riivoloution? if only I knew how to use that...

Well I hope you enjoy trying it! (the hardest level currently is in Flipswap galaxy)

I'd be down for a difficult Super Mario Galaxy but I hope it's not just hordes of enemies on a huge platform.

Not to worry! I thought when starting this hack: "I can't do that! That's just boring and cheap!"

(Some might ask: "why do we have to download these images?" I say because I have no idea how to do otherwise.)

I have successfully added a new galaxy that is based around PURE KAIZO! (Of course this depends on your definition of "PURE KAIZO")

The first Star is complete and rather easy to get once you figure out my "EVIL" tricks.
The second Star is 1% complete.
The third Star is 0% complete.
The green Stars are 36% complete.

Alright! I could use some assistance in play-testing this hack on a real wii. now that I know how to use Riivoloution (Thanks NATNEW) But then I realized that my disc for SMG2 is scratched.

If you think you can Complete all of world 1 that is complete (like I said, spin-dig is buggy) PM me "I will play-test Project Kiazo" and in return (which will be sent to you within the same day of your PM) you will receive PROJECT-KAIZO-ALPHA.ZIP inside are all of the files Riivouloution needs. If you get confused, read the readme.txt file included.

Scratched disk? Well idk if this helps, but I once fixed a scratched (okay, melted) SMG1 disk by using Riivolution to replace the unreadable files on the disk with intact copies from an ISO, so you could try that...


How'd you get it melted? anyway, the wii wont reconize the disk. and I acually met up with a friend that has a copy I most likely can use... but mabey not... s
till, you might find a bug/cheat/easy-way-out that I didn't, so... Yeah. Still play-test it.

I could playtest for you! I have done many of my own SMG2 level mods in the past! (Super-Hackio-EDIT:insert youtube links here XD)

Ill include the .xml, but it might not work, sooo yeah. Also, if you know how to fix the xml, post the fix (whole .xml) here. (Or PM me... whatever floats your boat)

Also I posted too soon, I posted BEFORE watching the video's and I wanted to ask: HOW DID YOU MAKE F.L.U.D.D SHOOT MORE FREQUENTLY?? I tried without success... In case you don't want players accidentally shaking when travelling by bubble, obj arg 7 = 1 and it can't be popped without hitting anything... the more you know... if you didn't already know that... )_(

oh the xml is broken? well... shit. my xml has been crap too recently. for some reason when I load other people's mods the game freezes but when I load my own mods it works fine.

Not what I was going to say, but yeah, that too. I think that the OBJ args should be named in the editor for each object so that you don't have to find it elsewhere. I.E: (we'll used water FLUDD for this example) instead of it saying obj arg0, it should say nozzle angle. I don't know much Javascript, I'm more of a C# guy, but I can easily figure out how to get-around/Debug Problems... (get-around = alternate soloution)

I'd say:
On Object click
IF {obj-argument-0-name} != (not equals) argument0
display obj-argument-0-name
else
display obj-argument-0-name

Obviously, this isn't acually C# (or Javascript) It's a concept... think about it.

EDIT: another Idea is to allow the cubes that represent objects that don't have a model to be stretched with the X,Y and Z scale values. (so you can see where the area will work) a outline of a cube might work...

For the Water Shooter (blue FLUDD nozzle) make obj_arg1 15 and make obj_arg2 30. This will make it shoot pretty fast like the ones from Space Storm Galaxy's second star. Also, to make the bubble not have any gravity, you can set obj_arg3 to 1.

I forgot how the Fire Shooter (Red FLUDD nozzle) works. I think it's the same as the blue one, but i'm not positive on that. Download my level if you want to see the object parameters.

Also, I never knew that obj arg 7 controls whether they can shake out of the bubble or not. I wish I would've known that xD

Actually, there is a difference that I found between obj arg 1 and obj arg 2
OBJ ARG 1 = time between shots (setting this to 100 means that you can spin 2 before it will fire next)
OBJ ARG 2 = Speed of the Bubble (SANIC SPEED)

I wish the Object Database was still open, because now we have figured out all the OBJ ARG's (Unless there's one we don't know about O_0) and we can write them in. :( (at least you can edit the objectdb.xml :D)

Also, to use obj arg 7 it is: -1 for off and "any other number" for on <--- this might be wrong... but my testing proves it right... weird... BOOLEAN = 0 off 1 on. Right?
