uh, hi I guess

i have no experience with modding wii, I have a bit of experience with level design for a different game, which is something for another time, but another thinking head in this project would probably do some good.

i've been going through the galaxy design pages and i've noticed you guys seem to argue quite a bit, paper caper for example

I'm probably a suitable person for a playtester if I either A. can emulate reliably or B. actually figure out wii modding, because I never really found most of the stuff in either galaxy game that difficult. luigi's purple coins is so easy.

I'm probably already setting a bad first impression but oh well! Let's just see how it ends up.

Kinda skimming through this.

Bouldergeist with Cosmic Clones actually sounds really fun to me, in addition to making bouldergeist be much more of a threat.

Did you guys ever consider something besides a mansion being haunted? You could something that resembles a castle instead, or have the graveyard theme expanded into catacombs.

I've got a question about this one -- which honestly I'm surprised doesn't have more discussion-- will it be done like how Click Clock Wood was in Banjo-Kazooie or will it be the seasons coexisting together?

How about Haunted Honey-Catacombs? It would be an interesting idea for a lower portion of the galaxy.

Also, I like the idea of cosmic clones chasing you while you are fighting Dark Bouldergeist. But keep in mind this is a W2 galaxy...

I think comets don't start showing up until at least world 3 in the original SMG2, so a slightly higher difficulty should be expected.

Honey catacombs makes no sense.

Edit: This appears to be a W3 galaxy anyways, however!

Controlling 2 Marios at once sounds like a chore to me...

Can you perhaps use light that acts like the spotlights from the last bowser galaxy from the first? If so, maybe you can make mirror objects and have it reflect the spotlight to a different place.

Or maybe just light puzzles based around mirrors.

Or maybe an area where on one side of the mirror, you can only see Mario and enemies, and the other side shows the terrain.

EDIT: Can cosmic clones be made to activate things, such as pressing a switch or etc?

Is it possible to create the tower thing that shows up in the second star of Whomp's Fortress from SM64? I'm thinking that if boomsday were to be used, you could upscale that tower, put a button at the top that makes it explode, revealing the Boomsday Machine inside.

Speaking of Boomsday Machine, there should be a different powerup used. Maybe Bee Mario or Spring Mario?

I'm pretty good at SMG. I've 100%'d both SMG and SMG2, recently played through the second again. I had very few problem areas..

the one thing I will always hate will be the star marble. I had so much trouble with Rolling Gizmo the first time

It may just be a pet peeve of mine, but it seems for a good few galaxies, it ends up spiraling into level design in the concept art topics.

.. it doesn't seem to help that a good amount of the concept art galaxies are devoid of any actual concept art.

It would be easier to follow if mods could move some things around!

Sorry if I'm being dumb.

This galaxy seems quite a bit too convoluted to be stuffed into one.

First off, both Bob-omb Battlefield and pretty much any level from Sunshine, even Gelato Beach, are both sprawling and complex environments. Then you're just gonna give *one* star to each? It doesn't seem like a proper treatment to me, and even Throwback Galaxy's rendition of Whomp's Fortress didn't really capture the whole level. for instance, it didn't have the tower or all the stuff in the sky.

I'm all for remakes, but not one-star each remakes.

I suggest just plain getting rid of empty concept art / music threads and letting people make them whenever something that would fit into either comes up.

You guys have a few years to figure out, right? It seems like the people who really get stuff going are away for the time being.

I didn't say add more galaxies or replace others... maybe just reduce the scope of this one to one of the three levels chosen, instead of all three.

I'd elect the Sunshine level if this suggestion is used, because we've already have a remake of a SM64 level in the official game.

How about the Dreadnought is assaulting the Battlerock?

Just throwing an idea out there.

Yoshi should probably be in it because A) SMW was the first game he was in and B) it's YOSHI'S island :P

This one could end up pretty confusing for the player... but it's a great concept!
Maybe there's a bunch of Yoshis in the past, only a few in the present, and then only yoshi fossils in the future? He is, after all, technically a dinosaur.

Gonna throw out another idea that will probably get shot down: what if you use small sections resembling each level from Yoshi's Island? Obviously not the entire levels, maybe it can end at the doorstep to Iggy's Castle? (That is the right koopaling, right?)

A bone brother? Like, a skeletal hammer brother that tosses many bones instead?

Please take my money.

On topic, perhaps a planet made entirely of bones can be a focus?

What's wrong with this being a gravity switching galaxy? As for a secret thing, instead of the stupid minigames, we could recycle the boo cube from Deep Dark Galaxy and put some different goal in it. Perhaps just gravity-based puzzles?

can't you use the glass from the cages that you break using bombs?

Who said we had to use the Teresa Chief for the Boo Cube?
