I'm just gonna jump on this a little. Saying an adjective is totally normal and does not make you "phobic" towards anything, you are just describing the thing. It's like trying to describe someone that is black simply as "black". Am I racist? No. If a person is transgender, then they are transgender, I can use that adjective to describe one of their attributes. These people are people after all, everyone has things that can describe them. You can say someone is of X religion, and it doesn't make you racist or whatever term applies to religion.
