They make lots of reissues so you can play old games for full price (so yeah, not exactly "cheap" on our end). Luckily, at least in the AlphaDream part of the land, people aren't buying into that shit, and so Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story remake tanked so bad, it rivals Virtual Boy games.

*sad trombone noise*

I hope this is a good kick to their asses and maybe we get a good new Mario & Luigi game.

Anyhow, in terms of Mario, we did get Mario Penis Asses and Super Mario Oddsees and Super Mayro Farty and we're going to get that new Luigi's Mansion and probably more new Mario games this year, after, what the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (probably the reason we didn't get AS much Mario games in 2018), so all this wringing about ports and half-assed remakes is not all that true.

BTW Discord is stupid and it's a haven for shitposting. I also don't see other Discord channels also being so successful. Kuribo64, even if it was gonna go to Discord, is probably going to end up the same fate eventually anyway.

I'm way more active at Super Mario Boards (I know you have an account there but just in case others are wondering where I usually frequent) though even that community has a bit of an activity decline. It's still fine, and it's been there since like 2008-09 and it has a nice Discord.

well, an event did happen.

heard a boom, looked at the window. full black. called mom instantly.

our windows were completely dark for a solid minute, due to the fast-travelling black smoke smothering the side of the building. there was pretty big fire particles flying about in the dark.
after that the smoke became more visible and slightly less constant, so we were able to see how fucking fast it travelled. and holy shit that was a sight. it was stinking so bad even with our windows closed, because the holes around the sides of 'em are too wide.

so, what happened. a bike parked in the bikes spot exploded in the street, shortly followed by all the other bikes doing the same. five bikes total, for a huge ton of toxic smoke. our plants pretty much died from that.

this kept up until the firemen came and put it out. it slowly cleared up, until only steam remained. we were eventually able to see the damage, and let me tell you the street light next to the parking slot fucking melted. it still stinks a huge bunch, and will keep up for a while.
the bikes are in cinders.

firemen checked on the residents of our building, asking for headaches from smoke and all that. we are ok thanks to having the windows closed when it happened, but I wonder how it went for people who didn't. it travelled so fucking fast, it would take a mere second to fill a room.

so um yea, that was.. not your usual day. I guess.

I probably shouldn't try to make fun of it but when you say "bike" and "explode", I love to imagine that it's a bicycle exploding for no reason rather than motorbike.

My summer's been going well. I'm gonna to go door-to-door to find an evening summer job along with working in an internship program this summer now that my bike saddle has been replaced.

What's going on? Why do you want a SIM card? Are you having trouble getting one for a laptop? I've never really used a SIM card outside of phone.

a note about that. if you're referring to games like left4dead2 you play on hardmode all the time, how would you go about playing with people like me who don't have the skill to do that yet? I've refrained to play with any of you three for that reason (also connection and the fact my pc burns if it does anything for too long, former's getting sorted)

I doubt playing on medium would be half as fun if you're used to hard. outside of, yknow, watching the nooby struggle. that's gotta be interesting to see

I played left 4 dead 2 on easy for a looong while before graduating to normal and then eventually slowly reaching to advanced. heck, I don't even play expert that often yet. so I'm patient with newbies, just as long as they listen and don't grief or anything. i played with nooby players, game can be just as fun with them as I let them explore the map and help them learn the game

So, current events. This new virus seems like it could possibly be of some concern. I hear it made it to Chicago.

Eh the regular flu kills more and is prevalent as long humans are around. I'd be more concerned about that rather than the virus, as well as the possibility that any time, you'll get bad food poisoning. The SARS flu used to be the biggest scary thing roaming around, and I turned out fine I think. I mean, it's worth keeping alert about the coronavirus, but I don't think you should lose sleep over it.

Hello, I miss this forum, and I spent like the past week or so thinking, "man I need to check back on Kuribo64, wonder if it's even archived lol, and I bet people miss me) but the stupid thing is that I keep forgetting to check back to the point it takes weeks for me to realize I've been out for a while and then I promptly forget to check and then more weeks for me to realize, rinse and repeat. It ends up me missing the forum longer than I have to. I need to try to check back a little more regularly, but I don't know what the posting rate here is now. But anyhow I'm still super active on Marioboards and if you need to kick me in the pants, just drop a dm there or something. I just know salty has an account there and is perfectly capable of whacking me with a newspaper.

they've been gone for so long, I'm not very hopeful to see them come back. I haven't seen them on Steam in a while either, so.. maybe something happened.

Yeah I haven't been on Steam. Hell, haven't even touched Left 4 Dead 2 partially because LAN for some reason causes ridiculous ping between our games; like ping is reasonable but it spikes every 10-15 seconds and it makes Left 4 Dead 2 borderline playable. Also, Garry's Mod eats up a lot of hard drive space and sometimes the engine limitations are annoying. Anyway, I probably need to catch up on my comments there, I'm kinda afraid checking them, lol.

Yeah, she's been playing Sonic games recently. Taken an interest in it.
