It appears that after 8 years of service, our server blargcity is running low on disk space. I deleted some crap to bring it back up, but it will soon go down again without further action.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that the uploader is responsible for most of the disk space usage, so I will have to act upon this.

Edit- the uploader crisis is going to be solved pretty quickly. Appears a certain non-poster has been clogging up our uploader with about 11 gigabytes of random crap, to be used wherever else. This is going byebye.

Also, we now have tools that will detect uploader abuse, so... don't even try.

Artificial Obsolescence

Seeing so many smartphones and laptops piled in a junkyard. It's just disturbing, some of those things even look like they still work! It just makes me want to run over to the junkyard, start bagging some tech and running back home with them.

dunno if you've ever been through the streets and seen things sitting on sidewalks for disposal, if you live in a 'rich' country, you'd be surprised how many of these are still working or easily repairable. I know from experience.

hell, I got a broken TV a while back for a dozen bucks. the fault was quite typical, capacitors on the power supply went bad. I replaced these and now it's working fine.

I hate when websites mess with your history, or instantly redirect you to another page, so that you can never leave them.

I also hate popups and more particularly popunders (popups that appear behind your main window).

For some reason I don't like when youtube videos have voiceover. Especially when said voice is a kid's voice.

More generally I hate Youtube's design. It's like Google is continually trying to make it more and more retarded.

funny to see how we have evolved since 2012...

popups and popunders are mostly dead now, but every garbage modern site is full of stupid pop-in overlays, 'we use cookiez!!!!!11' banners and other stupid widgets that distract your attention. is that better? up to you.

voiceovered videos generally don't cause me trouble, and over time I gained the ability to understand most of what they're saying, so, yeah

and Youtube... well

I do, mostly, because I have to check on it, but generally I just don't know what to post about. I mean, there are some neat things I could post about, but I always worry nobody will reply.
