the gender field was intended as a general gender/pronouns/whatever field, in replacement for the fact I renamed the old 'sex' option to just 'name color' without any gender connotation

blarg. I also recall somebody had suggested a better color set to choose from, should try and find that and implement it.

but, it's like for everything, there's a great feel of 'why bother when the board is dead 11 months out of one year'.

add to that that the Github repo in the second link is nothing but a bunch of weird shady .exe's, and that you attempted to register from two different proxies

what tells me you're a legitimate user?
