I just hate the whole concept.

moreso because job hunting as a developer is a shitshow. what you want is a job that a) allows you to live and b) is somewhat related to what you enjoy, so it's less shitty. but noooope, they all expect you to pick a VERY SPECIFIC DOMAIN and place all your bets on that one horse. got no professional experience in THAT ONE VERY SPECIFIC DOMAIN? no job for you, fuck you and have a nice day. doesn't matter what other experience (professional or not) you can show off, doesn't matter that you can show ability to quickly learn things and manage the job, etc...

hell, mom has been in that kind of position too, she faked her resume to get her current job, pretending she knew something they asked for and she didn't know, but she learnt it on the job and managed.


and I hate spending hours to make fancypants resumes and cover letters and suck up to these dickbags only to be rejected over and over again.

I think it's what happens when they're over 200x200 and the board resizes them.

you should try resizing it prior to uploading, with a good image editor.

most of it is all the unhealthy conditioning that living = having a job, not working = lazy, bad, etc, that you can only serve society and be worth something through activities that produce capital and that you often do mostly (if not only) for your own, individual survival

combine it with a job market that is fucking shito

and people will accept anything as long as they're told that IT CREATES JOBS!! see how good we are for allowing these people to live!
