16GB, apparently.

the home dir is 11GB, so the extra 5GB are probably update cruft we can weed out.

the board uploader amounts to 4GB, which is not bad for 5 years worth of crap.


apparently there was a leftover dir taking like 5GB, which iirc was an attempt at compressing the uploader (the gains are not worth it, most of the shit in there is already compressed in a way or another).


after a good round of cleanup, we're down to 8.7GB. yay!

I finally got unlazy and ordered the right transformer.

Also, mounted the switches in a spot where it was relatively easy:



So, red light:



Green light:



Red+green:



It doesn't show here, but the latter mode is rather cool. The red and green light mix into yellow light, but they cast green/red shadows which give things a fancy "red/blue 3D" look.

It's not very good as a lamp (light is very directional and not so bright) but it's a cool decorational item. Also adds ambiance to a dim light setting.

little update to post links in threads: those now change your URL and scroll you to the post, without reloading the page, provided your browser supports it

we're modernizing things, but also doing it right: the links still function as normal links if you open them in a new tab, etc...

post links on users' post listings and on the announcements page will still take you to the thread.


also, there was a little security hole, but it's been fixed.

But it's not a problem since we can't prevent everything (unless there are things that are obvious...).

yeah, but not everything can be prevented easily.

in particular, this issue would be too much trouble to attempt preventing server-side as it depends on several client-side things (font size and rendering, etc).
