You don't need admin privileges to run Whitehole. All you need is to make sure that your files aren't read-only.
Also, you should give me your galaxy's edited files, and especially the DiskGardenZone files (/StageData/DiskGardenZone.arc), so that I can investigate closer. It looks like some kind of corruption occured. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

EggStarGalaxy.arc isn't needed.
Thanks for the files anyway. I think I managed to reproduce the issue, but having your files handy may help me confirm that it was the same issue. Edit- the issue isn't related to DiskGardenZone. Sorry for not having told you earlier. I reproduced it and it happens in TwinFallLakeZone. But actually, given how it happens and why, it could happen anywhere. If you want, I can give you technical details about this issue, but for now I'll say that saving works fine for every zone that isn't affected by this issue. Given the random character of this issue, a hotfix will be released very soon. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Ah software development... you develop your thing, submit it to intensive testing by yourself and/or third-parties, and release it, thinking it's bug-free. It's never bug-free.
Whitehole abides by this rule too. One of our users Xane123 recently pointed out an issue that occurs when saving Good Egg Galaxy. After investigation, it appears that the issue could happen with any galaxy, or rather with any BCSV file, at any time, anywhere. The main effect is that Whitehole ends up unable to read any BCSV file that is affected by the issue. This can be quite problematic. It isn't known whether this has effects ingame or not, though. To address this potentially severe issue, a Whitehole hotfix, versioned v1.01, has been released. Download it now. The hotfix only contains the fixed Whitehole.jar. Simply copy it over the old one. If you don't have Whitehole v1.0, you'll have to download it. Don't mind the download page telling you that v1.0 is outdated-- I haven't yet had the time to update the software to take such cases into account. If you have tried to save Good Egg Galaxy, or have any other galaxies affected by this problem, we highly recommend that you get new clean files and start over. If you don't feel like starting over, I can offer to fix your BCSV files by hand. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Nope. It's just that no matter if you edit the galaxy or not, the bug happens in that zone. And actually it could happen anywhere. It has to do with the way BCSV files are saved.
I released a hotfix that fixes this issue. You can discover it in the downloads page. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Resurrecting this thread to talk about potentially-unused stuff.
Object Jiraira has graphics, is functional, and is implemented in both SMG1 and SMG2. However the ObjectDB says that it's unused. And TCRF doesn't mention it. Either the ObjectDB's object usage data is incomplete, or the TCRF guys just missed Jiraira. IDK. I need an opinion from a SMG professional. Here's a screenshot of the object: ![]() ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Now what about we go back on topic before more useless posts are made?
I'm probably going to ask Peardian for confirmation about Jiraira. The people I asked don't recall having seen it anywhere, and my googling didn't find results either, so I'm 80% sure that it's unused, but I don't exclude the possibility of missing data in the ObjectDB. Oh also, have I mentioned that BigBubbleGenerator can generate octahedral bubbles?
SwitchBox, despite not being listed in the ObjectDB, is a perfectly good object. It can be destroyed by ground-pounding or spinning. When destroyed, it'll trigger whatever is connected to its SW_DEAD. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Oh yeah, invalid values aren't handled very gracefully. This'll get fixed in the next release I guess. The only effects aside from the exception messages is that the invalid value will not be taken into account and the last valid value will be used instead. No need for a hotfix this time. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Just letting you know that the ObjectDB isn't as accurate as one'd like it to be.
Both SMG games contain a file named ObjNameTable.arc, with the name and description of every possible object in the game. I thought, hey nice, why not use that to fill our ObjectDB? That'll be easier than looking for the internal object tables. Laziness has a price. The ObjNameTables are inaccurate. They contain leftovers and crap. Because of this, there are over 500 objects that are in the ObjectDB but don't exist in the games. And, more problematic, there are some objects that exist in the games but aren't in the ObjectDB. SwitchBox (mentioned in TCRF) is one of those, for example. It exists ingame and can be interacted with, but it has no ObjectDB entry. I'll try to get as accurate dumps as possible of the games' internal object tables to fix the ObjectDB. I hope to have that done by tomorrow. In the meantime, refrain from editing unused objects, as your edits may very well be gone later on. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Well, while the ObjectDB is open, go ahead.
I'll make sure to tempclose it when I start cleaning it up. Edit- operation cleanup is being pushed back. The internal tables I'm reading from lack lots of objects and have unwanted crap. And they still lack some of the objects. How the fuck does the game create objects from object names?! ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

If this is all about your personal issues, you shouldn't make it an announcement. Remember, announcements show up on the Latest News page.
Anyway, I'm not going to demote you unless you become inactive for more than one month. Just saying. Given Kuribo64's current activity levels, that won't be too much of a problem for me... ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |
