Ok, so this is a bit odd. I was just looking through Boulder Bowl Galaxy (GoroRockGalaxy) and I saw this gravity field that caught my attention:

So this is weird because, this directly relates to a speedrun strat in this game. If you're unfamiliar you can watch a speedrun of the game and you'll most likely see it, but you basically long jump off the left edge of the ramp on the first planet and spin to just barely be pulled in by gravity on the third planet, therefore skipping the second planet. But this is JUST BARELY. And now, this gravity field is here, placed right around the distance needed to be pulled to the third planet. So... what's up with that? Did Nintendo deliberately support speedrunning? Perhaps they originally intended to not have a second planet at all, and forgot to remove the gravity between the two other planets? If ya'll have theories, (or if this has been documented before :p) please tell me, I would like to hear them.

I think from an occam's razor stand point, anything that's likely accidental is best explained as accidental

Ok this just got even weirder. I removed the gravity cylinder and, uh, I can still perform the skip. So... this probably means that the gravity from the third planet is just really powerful? But then why would that gravity be there in the first place? Urrgh...

Something doesnt seem right. I removed that gravity area while editing boulder bowl recently and I was not able to do the skip.

Really? Wow this is getting absurd now, Nintendo what are you doing?

(Unless I accidentally selected the main game instead of main.dol to load, but I'm pretty sure I didn't. I should double-check anyway)

EDIT: Yeah I double-checked, you can still do the skip. I was playing as Luigi to attempt it if that means anything

Off-topic, but TheGreatWaluigi, aren't you working on Kaizo Mario Galaxy 2? Good luck on that project!
