Hello my friends. I am looking for people who are familiar with basic video game design and have some ability to develop and release a Super Mario Sunshine ISO hack or mod. The SMS hacking scene is basically a fetus, it hardly even exists. I am looking for a group of people who are familiar with SMS, and general game development know-how. With next to nothing in the SMS hacking seen we can help bring it into a more mainstream light. I need your help. I cant do this alone. Contact my e-mail at acominilabs@gmail.com if you are interested.

Er, what exactly do you need for modding? Asset creation? Gameplay changes? Building off existing mods? Do you even know how you use those tools? You haven't even shown off anything you're capable of for now, so why should anyone pitch their skills for you? Sure, you can't do this alone, make an entire romhack, but what you can do alone is try to get familiar with the engine you're working with, start small.

Like if I wanted to plunge in Super Mario Sunshine modding, I'd do simple things like model replacement or music mods, which I've done before and on my own (as in, first mods I make for other games are generally music mods, texture replacements, model imports).

Edit: Derp, didn't see the date of the original post. I think I'm tired.

Yes.

No.

Because they're gonna make make something like Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, with all new levels, world maps, enemies, power ups etc etc.

This thread kinda reminded me of the good times on RVLution, where every now and then someone had the best idea ever, but they couldn't do it themselves, so they needed 7 level designers, 3 overworld creators, 5 composers, 2 ASM coders and so on.

That's what I was suspecting too. The thing about pitching ideas is that no one ever says, "Wouldn't it be cool if Mario shot ice-colored fire" or something, things that are actually feasible. They have no concept of how making ambitious stuff work.

We all have those failings, though to be fair.
