My point is, how do you think we can make the fight a bit harder? could we edit the collision of the coconuts?

Yes, we can edit the collision of anything.

I'm pretty sure there's a collision type that you can get hurt by touching it.

Would it be possible to add that to the coconuts, but still be able to spin them back at Kaliente? If we could do that and make it harder to spin them, that would be a good source of challenge for the boss. And also, could more flaming coconuts come out of Kaliente?

Bleh, I know something that could make it harder and longer. Have objectives that you have to do while avoiding being damaged. My theory is that we could make the boss not shoot coconuts or whatever at you until you do something, which would activate a switch. From what I can tell of how enemies and bosses and other stuff, all the boss commands are functions, so we can simply make the function not run until it gets a code from a switcharea which we link by ASM.
However, IDK this for a fact, we would need lots more research. LOTS.

Yes, we would need a ton of knowledge to pull that kind of thing off with Switches. Plus, we'd have to see how SwitchArea functions in the files so we can implement it.

Basically, the switch would enable the entire boss pattern (I hope I got that right.) If my theory is correct, to make Kaliente shoot coconuts when a switch would be activated would require breaking the boss pattern down.
