So does the unpatched but modded game work? Or are the whatever tools you're using to hack the game causing the problems?

Oh shoot. I thought "nintendon't" was a joke reply to the question above it.
Could happen to anyone haha  I'll try to be a little less ambiguous next time i'm talking about that software.

You patch the game to get the modded iso, so you can't have unpatched but modded. IDK what is causing the problems, it works fine in dolphin. This has only been tested for a wii U so IDK if it will happen for everyone.

So you need apply some kind of xdelta patch to the unmodded iso before you can edit it? That sounds quite interesting to someone like me who has only hacked ds games.

No I mean I mod an iso, then to distribute the iso you have to send an xdelta. The person who wants to play the mod uses the xdelta to patch an original iso to get the modded iso. But the modded iso and the patched iso are identical.

Ok i was just wondering if the game you modded but didn't patch works for you on Wii.

Looks awesome!! :) Will it be playable on original hardware (GameCube)?

I'm not exactly sure. I don't know if there is a way to load iso files onto a gamecube. I doubt it will be playable on original hardware, you will have to use dolphin.

Looking good Augs!

Sad it won't work on original hardware (or on Wii), but I hope someone can fix that in future!

Actually there is a really easy way to load iso files on the gamecube (modchip with sd-card reader). As long as the file size has the correct amount of GB (1,35GB) it should work, 'cause then (and just then!) the gamecube will recognize it as a regular game. So if your hack will have 1,35GB, it should work, I think. If so, I definitely will try it out! :)

I'm not sure it will be 1.35gb. The compression methods for SMS files aren't that great. But I will keep this in mind when I'm making it

Great to hear that! I really appreciate your effort and hope, that you will be able to realise this! Would be awesome for the purpose of reviving SMS on the original GameCube in my opinion.

Nice tutorials on youtube btw ;)
