(using the Wii's .arc file for this btw)
It's better to put this into an example rather than ask the question: I put an image file into an .arc file, like so: dir/myGreatFile.arc/image.png I want to open "image.png" from a command line (like Batch or JavaScript) using any program without fully extracting the whole file. I've messed around with arcExtract but that doesn't seem to work. Is this possible to do using arcExtract? If so, how? If not, are there any programs that can do this? Thanks in advance. ____________________ yeah |

Posted by RealHeroicGamer You will probably have to extract the .png temporary to open it. It's like when you have a file in an archive (take zip as example), and click on one just to see it without extracting it fully, it will just extract in a temporary folder the file you want to see. Same applies with arc. ____________________ "I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed in all. Now he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner of Microsoft." -Bill Gates |

You'd have to access that file's node and get the data from there. ____________________ a |

iyenal - Is arcExtract even capable of extracting to a different place?
shibboleet - How would I do that? I'm pretty new when it comes to file archives and Google isn't helping. ____________________ yeah |

I think BrawlBox might help you do this. But IDK. Also, to extaract image right click the image and press extract image or import or something.
BrawlBox: https://github.com/libertyernie/brawltools/releases I don't know if this'll help, but it's worth a try. ____________________ Life is meaningless and death approaches.
