I think King Kaliente would fit well here. His blue fire-things are similar to water, and he sits in lava as well.

First planet- a large planet with several active volcanoes, with the space between being a single sphere of magma covered with a layer of water, with meteors and a fog effect. Loads of steam geysers if possible.

Actually...should there be a boss here? Probably, but which one?
Can't think of any who'd fit...well...the battleground could be a planet of lava with wide channels and pools of water, and obsidian.
But...is there supposed to be a boss here?
