I really can't think of any reason not to keep it on the list for the whole year.

It would theoretically be less work for the staff, and maybe some people really like Christmas? :P

Nope, never heard of you, given my experience with Acmlmboard forums is only February of 2016.

Hi Robbie Rage, I know you from other Acmlmlmlmboards as well.

Today I decided to compare the Wii U reveal trailer to the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer and I finally noticed why the marketing for the Wii U was so bad.

Yeah, it's really no big secret why the Wii U stumbled pretty hard early on. I don't blame a lot of the casuals for not getting it straight away.

it's weird how people thought you should only buy the wii u gamepad when they're extremely hard to find

Most casuals moved to tablet and mobile games after around 2010. The Wii sold poorly after late 2009 and game attachment rate was one of worst in the industry.

It sold poorly after late 2009 because too many shovelware, lack of power, casuals moving to iPhones or Android, and the fact motion controls proven to be a fad.

I remember that

motion controls, fantasy: jumping around and making crazy moves, feeling totally immersed within a rad game

motion controls, reality: sitting in your couch handling the wiimote like a regular joypad plus 'shake wiimote' gimmick

all the games worked like that, except Wii Sports & co.

Isn't this essentially what VR is right now?

Both are gimmicks. That's all everyone needs to know.

I don't understand the appeal of VR. It looks clunky and overpriced for what it is.

I'd imagine that thing is a bitch to set up properly and making it so it doesn't freak out at everything, like the Microsoft Kinect.
