Well, if you wanna make mod packs, you're gonna have to dump your game. :/
Once your game is dumped you'll find that Nintendo got a bit smarter and hid all their files inside two to three other files: dt00 and dt01 (the other one isn't important ATM) SM4SHExplorer looks for these and knows how to decode them so you can view them like normal. Now, just replace the files with the mods you want in your modpack, tell SM4SHExplorer to fix up the dt00 and dt01 files with these new mods, and viola, you're done. (it sure has been a while since I modded the game, but I remember the basics.) Hope this helps! ____________________ yeah |

without sm4shexplorer, everything is going to look extremely unpolished replacing music will replace the music but the title would still be the same e.g replacing Music A with Music B will play Music B, but the title will be displayed as Music A Skins: if you replace this skin, then ingame it would show you your modded skin, but the css would still display it as regular mario there are also a bunch of things that you could mess up here and there, also with sm4shexplorer instead of replacing music you can add music, so you don't have to replace any songs that a certain person or people might like just get sm4shexplorer, it takes a while but it makes modding sm4sh so much easier ____________________ discord: salty#1212 photobucket |

Posted by meme_man64 what do you mean "restore"? You mean obtain? Just dump your game. You won't get normal files and folders, you'll get dt00 and dt01. (and that third one but again I never used it. keep it though) ____________________ yeah |

Posted by RealHeroicGamer But can’t i use And also why does breath of the wild not require all of this dumping to add mods but sm4sh does and how do modpacks work then without it being the whole rom being dumped (just to get some insight on the whole subject) |

Posted by meme_man64 What? No, DDD is very simple. You don't delete your SD card :P Posted by meme_man64 Because BotW has a normal filesystem like every other game. If you dump it, normal files. Simple. If you dump SM4SH, you get dt00 and dt01. Basically, inside dt00 and dt01 is the normal filesystem, but since it's inside dt00 and dt01 you have to manually do things. Posted by meme_man64 Because they're the game dump themselves or because you're doing it wrong and you actually do have to dump the game, either one. I don't have much experience with modpacks :P ____________________ yeah |
