I currently know of two (Neo mario galaxy and SMG-run) The reason I want to is because when I (eventually) become not-terrible at smg2 hacking I would really enjoy working on a smg2 hacking project!

AFAIK, SMG RUN is the only MAJOR hack going on right now. Neo Mario Galaxy is one world & it's almost complete. I call it a minor hack because It's only 1 world, but it's great nonetheless.

(Oh, and SMG RUN is supposed to be all caps unless you are spelling each word.)

And you want to become not-terrible at SMG hacking eh?
Actually, recently, SMG has gotten a "lot" (give or take) of activity. The only problem is that not too many of the people making it active know how to go advanced.

I have some eeeevvvviiilll plans laid out for after I get the SMG RUN demo out...

Yup. I've been making pretty decent progress, and I hope to release a demo soon. In fact, the scrolling textures that I had got working were for Lethal Lava Galaxy's lava texture.
