i'm working on an rom hack of new super mario bros. today i wanted to see if the custom world map icons worked but when i start up the NSMBDS editor and then open the rom file of new super mario bros it says something with an overflow and sometimes it says that i don't have acces to the rom files because it's used in an different process. also when i load the rom files in an emulator (DeSmuMe) it also just closes the emulator. i think that the rom files are broken and that i need to re-install it. but i'm worried that i lose basically everything in my rom hack. a friend of mine gave me an link about an program that can see what program uses the file but i didn't find anything ____________________ i would love the have a post layout. but i suck at coding. so i guess this text is my post layout or something. |

...sounds really unlikely.
anyway, try running the rom without the editor open if you didn't already, and try it on another emulator as well (no$gba or whatever) |

I'll take you made sure no editor (nsmbe or whatever) was open when you tried.
did you edit anything other than the levels, and are you able to open the rom in nsmbe? would be wierd for you to have corrupted the ROM header merely by editing levels. |

Posted by Thierry no i cannot open the rom file via nsmbe i actually think the editor was opened but i opened the editor with the other editor already open. i noticed that 2 editors were opened so i closes one and when i loaded the rom file it started bugging i also was only editing levels ____________________ i would love the have a post layout. but i suck at coding. so i guess this text is my post layout or something. |

i can't even download the exact same rom filea anymore because it has been removed from emuparadise
