This whole thing about mainstream vs alternative media is stupid. The reliability of a news organization isn't directly proportional to its popularity. I could create a blog with one view/hit that said the moon is fake - that isn't instantly accurate because of its low readership.

Do you need glasses?
Because what I said is clearly completely different from your example.

Also, when I wrote my previous Post, I didn't see today's news yet of Aleppo being 98% liberated yet.
So now I say, Aleppo being almost entirely liberated from the so-called "Rebels" is fantastic news, Syria didn't get any good news since the liberation of Palmyra.
Besides, 6 years of murdering civilians on both sides of the city was taking way and way to long.

Holy shit USA... Russia didn't "intervene" in your election, they just released information about Clinton, someone who would be a threat to their country if voted in. If Clinton didn't have so much shit to expose, it wouldn't have been as bad for her. And now Obama is making a big deal about this right before he leaves, cause he won't have to live with the repercussions. If I understand correctly, all Russia did was to show everyone Clinton's wrongdoings, which is kind of a right of the public to know, they didn't change the ballots or anything.

they just released information about Clinton

Wrong!
Russia didn't meddle in the elections even a single moment.
WikiLeaks are those who released the information about Clinton, not Russia.
And WikiLeaks got those from an insider in America.

For more information: https://www.rt.com/news/365164-assange-interview-wikileaks-russia/

I know, I'm showing lots of links to RT, but that's because it's currently the only actual news source in English.

Like any other country outside the American borders did: Watch and inform the people of their own countries about the American elections.

They did absolutely nothing. The US government and media have been lying about Russia hacking the election.

Damn, the news here, CBC, CTV here in Canada are reporting this to be 100% the Russians, and sometimes make it seem like they actually rigged the votes for Trump. And it also seems like Obama is salty.

Funny how each time they say the Russians did something, they always fail to provide any evidence, other than "an unnamed official said that".

As you can see, if you're a mainstream journalist, you can blame anyone for anything, and everyone will believe it, no matter how obviously stupid it is...

Well I'm not surprised, considering how Muslims get blamed for everything these days.

Sad, really.

Not just sad, though - it's dangerous. The neocons have been posturing for war with Russia for a while. Russia represents a major threat to the US empire, as evidenced by their resistance to our takeover attempts in Syria and Ukraine. Hillary (the mouthpiece of the neocon establishment) called for a no-fly zone in Syria, which would necessitate shooting down Russian planes, and a military response (including a nuclear buildup) in response to cyberattacks, which are baselessly getting blamed on Russia. And the anti-Russia propaganda spreading throughout the news is preparing the public to view them as an existential threat, which will make war easier to swallow.

Relevant.

I'm curious, but what do you guys think of this? This talks about Russia ordering an influence campaign to hurt Clinton's chances of presidency.

I personally don't think it matters in the end. I dislike Clinton and she was a "lesser of evils" option for me. I despise both of them, but Trump is truly unpredictable and you don't know what he actually thinks for ANY of the issue, and one of the last things we need is someone we can't tell roots for, except for the scary thought that he's hostile to science and vaccination.

Clinton was already a sordid candidate to begin with. I strongly believe she would have a tough time either way, Russia or not involved. At least Trump had...passion even if it was totally for the wrong reasons. He had an...interesting personality at the very the least.

Once again, it's a failed version of saying, "We admit, Clinton lost, and it's time to move on".

Almost every major Western news outlet splashed this story. But it was probably the New York Times' report which was the most amusing. America’s “paper of record” hailed the DNI’s homework as “damning and surprisingly detailed.” Then a few paragraphs later admitted the analysis contained no actual evidence.

Aka, no actual evidence was provided...once again.
And I like how this report talks about criticising Clinton, and being pro Trump, as if it were a crime.

Yeah, the constant screaming about Russia interfering with the election has had no basis in fact. If anything, the small amount of "evidence" that is president contradicts that theory entirely. The Russian intelligence services are sufficiently skilled not to make their fingerprints obvious. So if they are obvious enough to identify by the US government, it probably wasn't Russia. And keep in mind that the US government has virtually no credibility, especially when it comes to talking about the supposedly nefarious activities of enemy nations.

As for the issue of the "lesser evil", Hillary is all too predictable, and that's a problem. There's absolutely no question that she would have been a staunch ally to all the corporate interests that have bought our government and an aggressive warmonger who would threaten conflict with Syria, Russia, Iran, and China. While I had very little hope that Trump would be better than that, there was at least a chance, and it's certainly hard to be worse. Even now, Trump is proving himself to be just as much of a corporatist as Hillary would have been, but his foreign policy is more sane.

It's also funny how inconsistent this all is.
Like, first it has been a Russian Hack, then a Russian Hack with close ties to the Kremlin, then it was the Kremlin who hacked themselves, then Putin was even personally involved, then it was RT who changed people's minds, then it went even as far as Putin manipulating millions of minds like some kind of psychic...
And for none of these, even a bit of evidence was ever provided.

They just need to grow up, all of this only makes the US Government look like hypocrite cry babies, who just can't admit defeat at all.

Also what's funny is, they report on how RT 'manipulated' American opinions by 'being pro-Trump, and anti-Clinton', as if it were a crime.

In fact, RT has been quite neutral, compared to the American press, they have been manipulating American opinions by being pro-Clinton, and anti-Trump.
And apparently, that seems to be okay...

Shit's also going down in Mexico. Right now, the situation in USA is pretty tame in comparison. Mexico is losing its mind over a 20% increase of gas prices. Riots, blockades, lootings, etc... everywhere.

Naturopaths get their own licensing board in Mass.

No, there are no "good" or "bad" naturopaths. Only "bad" and "terrible" ones. Naturopathy is quackery. States should not be legitimizing magical beliefs like this as any alternative to medicine. No one should be listening to a naturopath for medical advice and these people should not practice this as medicine.

Yesterday's session of Congress illustrated how the Democratic Party is just as much of a sellout as the Republican Party. Bernie Sanders introduced an amendment to import drugs from Canada, which would lower prices here in the US. The pharmaceutical industry, obviously, doesn't want this. Bernie's amendment nearly succeeded, even receiving some bipartisan support from 13 Republicans, but it still got defeated 52-46. Why is that? 13 Democrats, including Cory Booker (the corporate Democrat whose name is being floated as a 2020 presidential candidate) opposed it. And it just so happens that many of these Democratic opponents are major beneficiaries of pharmaceutical company donations.

Why should anyone be surprised? Honestly. Not only the Democrats are pretty much center-right, they ARE super rich and are controlled by special interests. Just like everyone else in Congress.
