Well, they are kinda related.
0 doesn't use any solid collisions - it doesn't need to because it doesn't move :P

Don't have permission to edit the sprite database so I'll just post it here:

Unknown Value 6 of Swinging Rope (206) changes the length of the rope.
With a value of 0 the rope is 4 Tiles long, with 1 it's 5 and so on.

Should make it easy to create a sprite image for that as well.

We already had those in the database, you should update your spritedata.xml

Sprite 35 (Lava bubble)

-nybble 6 controls the delay of how long it'll wait in the lava

why are people adding things to sprite notes like this:

_Tested_

...who cares? If it's tested, add a comment on what it does, boom. If it's not tested, don't document it. Comment on what it might be, but leave it as-is. It's really confusing if the person doesn't read the comment.

@MrRean
Agreed - that isn't really a good idea.

@Anybody who is editing the database
Please stop:
* Marking sprites as done when it is clear that not all values and their interactions with each other are explained. and remember that unused nybbles and values should not be excluded.
* Adding invalid sprite data based on misinterpretations of unused levels - some of which use early actor>sprite tables. For example, the "ghost house door" in the early 1-castle is not meant to be a ghost house door, despite the sprite number.
thank you for the contributions, anyway

as much as your requests are legit, remember that the sprite database isn't yours and that you have no authority over it.

I know. But the first one is part of the "rules" actually specified at the top of the sprite database, and the second is common sense. And I never claimed ownership nor authority over the database.

no, but stating rules like you did gives that feeling.

Someone keeps changing the already fine spritedata, and either making it better, or worse.

For example, for the Cheep Cheep, I added that nybble 6 determined if it was red and green or not, while the person edited it so that it had more values (great), but decided to remove my two discovered values.

Another (worse) example is the Adjustable Water Flow. I had all the values figured out, then the person went ahead and removed all the values. I don't remember what each nybble did, so StapleButter, would you be able to restore the spritedata to an earlier version? Thanks.

Do you have enough access to restore it to an earlier date? (Not the cheep cheep, i fixed that)

shit

I think I have an old spritedata xml copy that I could try copy from.
On a seperate note, I think Hiccup thought that my data was invalid and only based on used levels. It was only based on used levels, but I tested it as well, and the data was accurate.

well, okay, looks like I've been too lenient with spriteDB access. if I can't trust you guys to not get into edit wars, I'll have to revoke your access.

actually, fuck it, I'm going to do that.

Hiccup, because you keep acting like you own the spriteDB.

Gimzie, because you're always involved in stupid crap, like with that NSMBNext project, and you seem overall immature.
