Not good. We don't need a mindless idiot in office. I'm ashamed to be living in America.
Hillary wasn't great either, but Trump could be devastating to the U.S. |

I think Hillary could have been more devastating to the US, to be honest.
I don't support Hillary for many reasons. I mean all the scandals, the seemingly obvious cheating, and wanting to drone some media outlets, drove me away from Clinton.(edited) Not to mention I think she's a pretty big hypocrite, and I found some of her campaign ads discriminating. I don't agree with some, if not most of her views, either. ____________________ MKDS Hacking & Modding Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/CAktUYP |

People are starting to protest now. I wonder if another old video of him will come up and change everyone's minds. e |

Posted by MK7tester Hillary would have been more devastating to the US and the rest of the world. Both of them were likely to pursue a corporate agenda, but as the Democrat, Hillary would face virtually no progressive opposition. And on several key issues - the TPP, money in politics, foreign interventionism - Hillary is more right-wing than Trump. We were actually at grave risk of war with Russia, Iran, and China if Hillary got a chance to enact her foreign policy. |

Posted by GamesWithIsaac He'd pursue a right-wing corporate agenda just like Hillary and Trump. Jill Stein was the only good choice in this election. |

Posted by Marionumber1 I know Hillary would've been a risky option too, especially with Russia. I'm just really disappointed that basically a living meme who has no idea what he is doing is now the face of our country. The DNC fucked up so bad. I hope it's in extreme debt now that Hillary lost. Bernie would've been a superhero. |

Posted by GamesWithIsaac He sucks. Anyhow, more the reason to take it to the streets. I told my sister that I want to burn / rip up the American flag, get a Trump pinata, burn a Trump effigy, but I don't know how people at LA are doing. Lacking social networking, I don't know how to join protests. |

Isn't burning the American flag illegal though?

Posted by TMolter No, such a law would be horrifically unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court has affirmed that view. |

I can also rip it to pieces or try pissing on it.
But I think I'm going to carry a sign or chant with those protestors instead. I don't want to damage or vandalize, as it's giving the opposite message that we should love instead of hate. "Not Trump" "Love trumps hate" "Minority power" Trump is not going to help these desperate working middle-clasee blue collars who voted for him. He's a freaking billionaire. But they don't know any better. |

Posted by LeftyGreenMario That's very disrespectful ( I don't care about the piñata or what you think of Trump) to do that to the flag. I remember in scouts we weren't allowed to let the flag touch the ground, so burning it, ripping it up, and pissing on it is just discourteous to the people who fought and died to keep the US free and free from war on US soil. I know you're unhappy with the result, but such action is unnecessary. Protesting wont do anything to the current situation, it would be a waste of energy. Don't worry, you can stick it out for four years, like I've done for the last eight. Ít's not that hard. I don't think he'll get another term. ____________________ Remember, every user has to start out somewhere,- Every time I look back at my old posts, I cringe. |

As much as doing shit to the flag won't do much, I guess we can agree that a) Trump isn't going to be a good president, b) Clinton wouldn't have been either, and c) the system is broken and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
Or not. But you get the point. It's more than "oh noes I don't like the president". Posted by PaperplateismGuy Protesting alone may not be enough to get things done. More action is needed. But resigning and accepting the situation? It means four more years of indignation in front of your TV. It means accepting the destructive expansion of capitalism. It means accepting global warming and the destructive proportions it will reach. And other things too, global warming is only the tip of the iceberg. Maybe if you resign and work hard enough, you will live well within the current system. But for your children and grandchildren, things will only get worse. Or maybe you want a quality future for them. In this case, you don't fucking resign. You fight with those who also want a quality future. Death to capitalism. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul melonDS the most fruity DS emulator there is zafkflzdasd |

Posted by PaperplateismGuy I get what you're saying, but it needs to be pointed out that almost all of our military action has nothing to do with defending our freedom. Especially in recent years, it's all about enriching the military-industrial complex and expanding US empire for the benefit of banks and corporations. It's for an unjust cause, been a humanitarian disaster, and created foreign terrorism that makes us less safe. |
