the Notre-Dame-des-Landes ZAD might get evicted tomorrow. I'll watch out for that.

it's been a fun ride so far. some in the government say the airport project supposed to take place there is absurd and useless, while the prime minister is raging over how "those violent meanies are standing in the way of democracy, they must be evicted and the airport project must begin".

there's an unofficial rumor that the prime minister just backed off. we'll see.

anyway, if anything happens, it'll be fun. not only will the ZAD resist eviction like they did in 2012, but protests and riots will take place in support over all of France, the government may get torn apart in arguments...

I always thought France was nice because it calls itself a republic.

but honestly, between this shit (they use democracy as a pretext becasue they wre able to craft a result they like, but when they don't like the result, they don't hesitate to shit on democracy), police violence and mainstream media propaganda (likening rioters to mindless thugs, etc), well...

recently the most reckless police department was protesting, they demanded rights to repress harder. all in all, the situation is pretty dire.
