The first beta release! V0.99

This is my current project, EnCryptiX. It is a general use Batch file, made for Windows (It was made and tested in Windows 10).

Well, here are the credits:
MC708 (me) ~ Programmer, developer, designer
Microsoft ~ For batch, and the programs that EnCryptiX can launch

It is now in Beta, yeay!

~ Added an uninstall function (Still a WIP)
~ Much, much more

Also, here is a VirusTotal scan of the file, for anyone paranoid:

sooo, what this does: launch Windows programs.

also, you didn't credit enough people. you need to credit your parents, whoever built your house, your internet and power providers, whoever built your computer, whoever makes your food...

Point taken, I'll shorten the credits now.
And yeah, EnCryptiX is quite limited right now. But it can do a lot more than just run programs. (Granted, nothing too important)
EDIT: Credits shortened

Anyways:
Just for anyone wondering, here is what I'm currently working on for the next Demo release:
~Fixed crash when trying to read the Y drive.
~NEW Super Shutdown Feature. This one's a secret for now, although the code for it is already complete.
~HUGE Improvement to the Colour selection screen. Side-by-side comparison of new and old colour screen selection: https://goo.gl/z1Jn4E
~Clock functions
~ And more

If you're ever going to make a .bat program, making specific lines have different colours takes ages to do

Coming soon!

Huh. My friend spent a few weeks creating a multiple use batch program. I'll see if he still has it.

Funny thing is, he named it batchOS, or something like that- more of a joke I think though.

Cool! They are really fun to make, so I'm not surprised that other people are also working on this kind of project.

He told me he doesn't have it anymore unfortunately. He made it when the "lol you can make the matrix in batch" thing was going around our year level.

You should ask him to check his Recycle Bin, it might still be in there.

The next Demo release is coming out later today!
Its out! Here is the changelog:
~Fixed crash when trying to read the Y drive.
~NEW Super Shutdown Feature. NOTE: You can select regular shutdown or Super shutdown. Turns off and boots up your computer faster, now complete with a Cancel feature!
~HUGE Improvement to the Colour selection screen. Side-by-side comparison of new and old colour screen selection: https://goo.gl/z1Jn4E
~Clock functions added!
~Removed all of the OSs in the program (EnCryptiX isn't an Operating System)
~ Fixed the Internet test (It was incorrectly called WiFi test, and said that the higher the MS the better)

Why are you using URL shorteners for everything?

I thought it looked neater, but you're not the only person to complain about this. I'll use unshortened links from now on :)

Anyways, current changelog for the next update that'll be out soon (more stuff will be out soon): It's out now!
~ Added calculator
~ Added a document-creator (sort of like Microsoft Word (kind of) but more basic)
~ Added a 'image' creator (does not make proper image, it's text based)
~ Revamped the info screen entirely.
~ Fixed some misspellings
~ Some other stuff

The most common complaint I got was that it 'just launches Windows programs'. Well, in this update I'll be focusing on adding new features, and mainly EnCryptiX alternatives to the Microsoft programs that EnCryptiX can launch.

The new update is out, so instead of double-posting I'll use this post to explain the changelog.

~ A Game - Rock, Paper, Scissors. It also has an exclusive feature - battle spectating.
Yay, a game. It took a while to make actually. Anyways, the 'battle spectating' feature randomly generates battles. Aside from that, EnCryptiX really needed a game, that's why it's it here.

~ Improved Program Launching - Launch-able programs will now be both faster and more numerous.
More programs were needed, and here they are, including classics like Task Manager and Regedit. They indeed run faster, too, by using an extra switch in the coding.

~ New EnCryptiX Suite Feature (TaskiX) - It's pretty much a bare-bones text-based Task Manager.
Self-explanatory. Like all of the other EnCryptiX Suite features, they are a Work-In-Progress and will be updated frequently.

~ System Information - Now you can check a lot details about your computer.
This was really needed, as it actually provides a lot of usefulness. Very useful to find tons of technical details of your system.

~ Custom Internet Search - Very simple. You can now type what you would like Search, inside EnCryptiX.
The changelog says it all. Only compatible with Yahoo though, as Google's URLs don't work
with variables in them

~ CalculatiX Anti-Error - CalculatiX will display a unique error message when dividing a number by 0.
This Anti-Error technically wasn't needed, but it it's something custom that's different from regular CMD, so I added it. :P

~ Slight edits to the Main Menu.
Nothing much to say. The 'Coming Soon' section instead now has a more useful note explaining
that EnCryptiX is WIP.

~ Colour Saving - If you change the colour, it will save it and automatically change.
Pretty cool for anyone who uses custom colours, as now you don't need to constantly change it.

~ CalculatiX Changes - Aside from Anti-Error, Squaring has been added, and the order has been changed.
CalculatiX is way too simple, and I'm planning to add a whole bunch of stuff to it. (Sneak Peek: I'm working on a unit converter)

~ Game Section no longer displays a 'Not Available' screen.
It's true - the Game Section is now available, so why would it keep the screen? :P

~ DocumentiX Line Limit - The limit has been raised from 6 lines to 15 lines.
DocumentiX was practically useless. This should remedy this.

~ File Deleting Function - Select a file to delete.
Really basic and needed. Well overdue to be released, but better late than never.

~ Driver List - Lists all the drivers on the system. Can connect to a remote system.
Umm... I can't even think of a use for either of these, but if you've ever wanted a text list of the drivers on your computer, then this is for you.

~ Info Screen Update - Updated and slightly changed.
To fit the above changes.

~ Conditional Title Changing - Title changes depending on what you're doing in the program.
This has been in since Release 3 (I think), but now it's more frequent.

Well, talk about TL;DR. Hope you guys enjoy this update.

Oh, one last thing, I might be moving this project to a different forum (more computer-based) soon. Either way, I'll keep the post here up-to-date for now.

First of all, sorry for the bump, but for the first time in for ages I've made actual progress on EnCryptiX!

New Download: https://goo.gl/31ArNF

I don't have a changelog because of how drawn out progress on this update was, but almost everything has been updated. A lot of new features have been added! As such, I've finally decided that EnCryptiX is now in its Beta phase. A few of the major new features are:

~ Added a built-in CMD, with custom commands and stuff
~ Added a last-used-functions feature to the menu
~ Added a date and time function to the menu
~ Fixed crashes in some places, where pressing Enter with no other input would cause a crash
~ Added a key history (called 'Function History').
~ Added a clipboard clearer.
~ Added an uninstall function (Still a WIP)
~ Much, much more

This is pretty much my Christmas gift to the Internet.
Enjoy!

I've only shortened 1 link, because the uploader's links are huge

Trust me, I have :P Their length is the reason why the 'Custom Search' feature uses Yahoo, not Google.

Not that I like Yahoo, though.

length of URLs is the best criteria for choosing one search engine over another. yup.

at this point it's like OCD or something.
