I didn't really enjoy 3D Land / 3D World that much TBH. However, this looks AMAZING! I almost fell out of my chair out of excitement during the reveal!

Most hyped I have been for a Mario game since Galaxy 2!

The shading is the best we've seen, and seems more like the galaxy games than the 3d land and world. This is a very good sign. This console seems genius in my opinion. Its takes what we wish was with the wii U (portability), and adds much better looking graphics. Also, Skyrim seemed to be in trailer. This console has much going, and seems to be the best and cheapest option. Might actually buy this one.

The Mario game there looks pretty damn good.

What else is there to say? The concept behind the Switch is original, and may very well be a success. The reveal video focuses on the social aspect of it: play games anywhere, at any time, with great flexibility.

Where did you get the idea that it's more like the galaxy games? To me, it resembles 3DWorld a lot more.

This game can be almost anything at this point.

Even a tech demo.

Remember that uber hyped realistic Legend of Zelda footage that turned out to be Wind Waker during the GameCube's reveal (Nintendo Space World)? We also had Mario Kart XXL and Super Mario 128, which both looked pretty impressive at their reveal, but they become something totally different.

I'm more excited for Skyrim tbh. The Mario game just looks like 3D world to me, with astronomical-quality graphics.

Lmao, this looks like a fan made a mario game in unreal engine. The animations don't look very natural either. (Just look at that long jump.)

I really like how it has a 3rd person camera from the back, it's a bit like Super Mario 64.
I hope it has all the SM64 movement, but i highly doubt it.

Super Mario 64's movement was horrible, I hope it doesn't have those movements. Something along the lines of Galaxy would be nicer.

I think it would be cool to be able to dive or slide.
Maybe Galaxy movement is better, I haven't played it so I wouldn't know.

The mario game for the switch looks like it was made with the unreal engine to me. Honestly though, I don't know what tools nintendo uses to develop their games but I would really like to know.

It looks like plain old 3D World to me. It also doesn't look like Unreal to me either. For starters, the shadow don't look realistic.

But anyhow, with Unreal 4, I think scenes like these below would be goddamn hilarious if there's a Mario game graphically like those. But you're kidding me if you think that Mario footage uses Unreal.

I don't like the Mexican area's palette. It gives me an incomplete look, but why they decided to show off that ugly muddy environment is beyond me.

I completely agree. It looks rather awkward. Then again, I'm probably just used to SM64 movement.

The graphics are good, but I don't think they're anything too impressive.

Well, I would like to actually see the graphics in proper HD before claiming if they are good or bad...

Keep in mind the NX is a lot smaller than both the Wii and the WiiU, so I wouldn't expect the graphics capabilities to surpass the WiiU by a large margin. So far, it looks pretty good even though it could be better.
