I don't have the greatest idea on how they work. I know how to use them, download a gct file and go to gecko os on the wii, but how does the magic happen? And how do people find how to use the codes?

Lol yeah I asked that, and I didn't phrase it right. I said "How do gecko codes work" instead of "How does gecko os work"

Oh, theres this app for the Wii Homebrew menu. Cant remember it tho. Anyways what it would do is there would be this list of games that have geko codes for them and you can download all of them... Just I cant remember the app...

Yeah, well I know the app, but I knew what to do when I wrote this, put the code in the codes folder of the sd card, run gecko os and it worked. I just wondered how it did it. It has something to do with accessing ram and changing values or something.

I'm assuming they change values and data in the game, though I don't know the details myself.

I want to create simple codes (such as silencing the BGM) but I looked at tutorials for that, and it needs something like the Gecko USB or something and I just stopped there.
