I think having a robot that cleans your room is neat though. Saves time for doing more constructive things and it probably does a better job than human hands. Of course, just as long as you don't grow dependent on it.
Though I can't imagine robots perfecting cooking ever. Waaaay too many variables. |

'probably does a better job than human hands'
implying a situation that is perfect for the robot, yeah. my parents have that Roomba type bot that cleans their living room every Wednesday. the living room is 60m² or more. guess how good it does? almost every time, it shits itself, either getting caught on a carpet or something, or dropping its dust tank and getting stuck. can't count the number of times I woke up to find it stranded in the middle of the room with its battery dead. and the room isn't even particularly messy. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul what do you use to measure bolts? a boltmeter |

In the "Which?" consumer information magazine, they tested a bunch of these robots and all were either crap at cleaning or crap at navigating - and all really expensive. ![]() |

Then I stand corrected.
Still would be nice if something else was doing the damn chores for us. |

The best example I can see at my parents' home would be those cooking robots. But it's still pretty crude, you put a raw ingredient, select a function, and it's prepared, and you follow steps like that to make a meal or dessert.
I don't like that kind of cooking tbh. It feels... unnatural. It's cooked by a machine. It takes away the merit of having cooked a good meal. ____________________ NSMBHD - Kafuka - Jul what do you use to measure bolts? a boltmeter |

i can see why people would do it though; i hate screwing things up myself. having a robot do it (usually) produces consistent results as long as you do it right, but a human doing it means one side of your omelette will be overcooked, or something.
of course, if you're insecure enough about yourself that you won't bother trying to learn, you probably need a therapist more than a robot... ![]() send me your terrible userbars and such to advertize in my footer ;^) ![]() youtube i never use CRAWLING IN MY CRAWL THESE CRAWLS THEY WILL NOT CRAWL |

The magazine probably didn't cover all the robot vacuums in the world, and your okay with one that is good at navigating if you have non-carpeted floors that arn't too dirty |
